Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai

I selected this hotel for ourselves and a group of friends. They all complimented my genius choice for our first visit to Bangkok. We booked executive lounge rooms and we ate dinner there every night at 5:30. It was mainly appetizers but a large variety and really delicious with sufficient quantity for a full meal. The included breakfast on floor 5 had the biggest buffet I’ve ever seen representing all Asian cuisine plus boring Western ones. Everything was delicious and a big plus for me adjusting to jet lag is the opening hour of 6 am. We took a few tours that I booked independently with Get Your Guide and Viator that provided round trip transportation to the hotel. Direct link to airport via sky train also brilliant! Bangkok is a good place to visit minus the traffic and air pollution. However, this hotel is the highlight of our trip.

We had an amazing stay and this hotel. Thank you for organising the floral arrangement and desserts to celebrate our honeymoon. The facilities and rooms were very modern and clean. The location was so convenient being on the airport link and walking distance to convenience stores and food options.

Great location - direct links to the skytrain. Well built, large and modern hotel with all the amenities. Rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic with a range of food types. Staff were excellent, warm and friendly.

Kind of overrated. Although itʻs connected to the BTS, the hotel is just a big place with lots of guests. Elevators are too slow.

A well-located hotel with good staff, good breakfast, and marvellous swimming pools. Good Hospitality is for me the most important thing for continuing support and staying in this hotel.

Location right next to Phayathai and connected to ARL and BTS.

Moderately walkable to siam (it is one bts statuon away), and next to Phayathai train station, good for train-watching.

Nice room. Unfortunately, there were issues with our assigned room and there were also cleanliness issues in the hotel that reduced the score.

Toiletries are by ecogenesis, but would prefer something else as these are sometimes used in 3-star hotels

We were also not informed of the direct-booking benefits throughout our stay.

Nice swimming pool and gym, although the swimming pool can get quite crowded during the day.

Hotel compensation was adequate

Staff were generally friendly, particularly lounge manager Phruetsakorn Phongam, and Sora, although one bar staff seemed unfriendly/unhappy when she found out that we were redeeming our welcome drink.

Location on the BTS/airport line connection in Phaya Thai is perfect: hotel is modern, luxurious, with wonderful views across the Bangkok skyline, world class breakfast and charming and professional multi lingual staff.

Aside from a few areas that could be improved, everything was great. We would be happy to stay again in the future.

This is the luxury hotel with great customer services, warm atmosphere with professional hospitality. Room was airy, comfortable, strong hot water pressure, great WiFi and extraordinary delicious buffet breakfast. The location is the best to get to BKK or to go anywhere in Bangkok’s attractions conveniently by public transportation. I has been staying here for many years and will keep coming back in the future.

As a frequent traveller, I stay in hotels regularly and have fairly high standards and Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok exceeded them.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city with a direct internal link to the BTS station, which makes getting around Bangkok effortless. The rooms are modern, spacious, and very comfortable, and the hotel is exceptionally well maintained.

What really stood out was the service. I arrived early in the morning on an international flight and asked if early check-in might be possible. The team went above and beyond, kindly allowing me to check in on the Monday morning rather than waiting until the usual 2pm, a much-appreciated gesture after a long journey.

The staff throughout the hotel are friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. I honestly struggle to find fault with this hotel and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travellers.

The room is a joke. There are many power sockets not working. The engineer came to the room 3 times and at one point even management couldn't resolve it claiming that the power sockets would take too long to fix.

For a 5 star hotel this is simply disappointing and disgraceful. This is the first time a 5 star luxury hotel has so many sockets not working and gives up trying to fix them.

Turn down service had to be requested unlike in other similar rated hotels where they are automatically done. For the turndown service we only got 2 bottles of water. In the morning, no one came to knock at our door to ask if we wanted it cleaned so at 1230pm I called for cleaning service. At other similarly rated hotels normally before 1130 am I would get a knock on my door and a cleaner asking what time they could clean it.

In addition, there are flies in the breakfast area and lifts. No idea how they maintain the property.

Location near train link to airport and BTS stations makes this hotel an excellent choice to stay in Bangkok. Good breakfast with a lot of choice, excellent restaurant at the 22nd floor, and nice swimming pool there. Rooms are comfortable, very cleanand have good beds, but are probably a bit smaller than usual in a 5 star hotel.

Stayed for 3 nights I cannot recommend this hotel enough it’s fabulous! Rooms are spacious and I excellent condition two hotel pools 37th floors in r one has amazing views of the city and is more for fitness the 22nd floor you can get drinks and food again an amazing view of the city … every details is well thought out ! Breakfast of champions everything from noodle soup to cooked ham the choice is endless and absolutely top notch !
Just outside the hotel is a evening food market where you can get anything from mango smoothie to roasted pork with rice at incredible low prices to the right is a inside market which also sells food if your feeling brave enough to try !
The hotel has great transport links with the BTS just a short walk taxis and Tuk tuks just outside the Concierge will call a taxi for you but allow extra time in the evenings traffic is bad !
Before I arrived I liaised with the hotel to book an excursion this was all sorted before we arrived it was well worth the few extra pounds to have our own guide / Driver and boat !

Best breakfast in town!

I stayed twice in March 2025. let's me share what I like here;
1. Direct access to airport link which helped me a lot saving time during my travel. (avoiding traffic jam by using BTS or Airport link)
2. I booked a room with Lounge access where I can enjoy variety of snacks and drinks while working on meeting. Staff are very friendly and kind especially Khun Preaw, Olive and Jemy, if I recognized their name well ( sorry if I am wrong). I was served by these staffs and they are really supportive!
3. The breakfast places, I am able to choose 2 places which both are good, different experience of foods and ambience.
4. I like The pool, restaurant (Italian one). a bit small but cozy.
5. Room facilities and design are beyond expectation.

If you are happen in BKK, Let's try once! I definitely back soon in January 2026.

Staff are especially attentive, nice and proactive. Love them. Hotel is clean, location is great, near bts and airport link.

Basically everything is good in terms of location and very good breakfast that I stayed twice for my previous two trips to Bangkok. I only disapproved about the shampoo of this hotel which is far not as good as most of the other hotels I stayed at Bangkok before.

My recent stay at Eastin Grand Phayathai was truly exceptional. The room was impeccably maintained, beautifully designed, and offered a stunning view, creating a sense of comfort and sophistication throughout my stay.
The service was outstanding, with the staff demonstrating genuine warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Khun Olive, Goi, Sora, Flim, Pukky, Gee, Wit, Jemy, Preaw, Aomsin, Fah, Bell, and Khun Bom for their remarkable hospitality and impeccable service, which elevated the entire experience.
Eastin Grand Phayathai is a superb destination that perfectly reflects luxury and excellence. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the near future.
