Simply Perfect; a wonderful option in Chiang Dao!

What a nice treat in Chiang Dao!
The View is a very very nice "quiet luxury" hotel in Chiang Dao with a great rooftop restaurant (delicious food at reasonable prices) and fantastic 360° views over the surrounding rice fields and mountains.
The staff at the reception is friendly and efficient.
The room is spotless clean, super comfortable with a good en-suite bathroom.
Breakfast is delicious with a wide variety of excellent choices.
We could not have hoped for a better place in Chiang Dao.
There is no doubt that we will come back to enjoy the wonderful hospitality provided by The View!

Overnight stay.
Pros:

Ours was just a one night stay on a tour of Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai and we were there just over 12 hours which was a pity as we didn’t get the chance to explore the gardens and facilities.
We received a friendly reception and easy check in. Our room on the third floor had a view of the surrounding hills but the sun went down soon after and the following morning a thick mist hung over the valley so we couldn’t really appreciate it.
The room was spacious and comfortable, including the bed which had a sprung mattress. Decor is a matter of taste and the dark grey walls and ceiling were not to ours. The a/c ran quietly and there was a kettle and fridge in the room.
It was just about warm enough to have dinner on the roof terrace without extra layers. On that evening there was a large tour group which generated a holiday atmosphere. The owner/manager (who is bilingual in English and Thai) was very attentive and accommodating and gave instructions to the kitchen on some specific details about our order.
It was still chilly at breakfast for eating outside and we were a bit disappointed by the offering. There was no option to make tea yourself and the pot keeping warm on the hot plate was neither hot enough nor strong enough to take milk. For those who don’t want cooked food at breakfast or children’s cereal, there was really only toast that took a long time to brown and fruit.
The View has the makings of an excellent hotel with a little more imagination.

Pros:

Pak at the front desk was amazing. He helped us with all we needed and was so warm and kind. The whole staff was so pleasant. The grounds are pretty and very enjoyable. Would stay here again.

Pros:

The hotel is very nice. Loved the corner room with view of the mountains and corn fields. Great seating areas. Pool is pretty much in the shade all day so refreshing when it's hot outside. The roof top restaurant is a nice place to eat and relax. Great food options even for vegans and vegetarians. The breakfast buffet has lots of choices. Would definitely stay again.

Die oberen Zimmer mit Aussicht waren wirklich Klasse, Frühstück war ok (viel Thaifood). Der Poolbereich ist außergewöhnlich, sehr schick. Im Fitnessbereich sind die Geräte eher defekt.

Am meisten stört die Lautstärke auf'n Flur, extrem hellhörig.

Everything was perfect. Beautiful view. The room ,bathroom, restaurant on the roof top. We will come again!
The director and his wife are super host, kind, helpfull and we had really good time speaking with them.

Wonderful new hotel with large pool and nice garden. Great room with Eiffel Tower decoration. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. small balcony with wonderful view on mountains. And first of all: THE ROOF TOP. Unbelievable views: mountains and rice fields, perfect for a romantic dinner. Good breakfast (specially for Thai peoples). Staff is discrete but efficient. Around : HINOKI and Chiang Dao Caves.

Great new hotel near the main road
Pros:

This hotel is hidden from view of the main road, once you turn in between the car workshop, you will see the hotel in the beginning of a rice field.
The hotel include 4 storey of room and restaurant at the top for a beautiful view (but the lift only reach 4th floor) Swimming pool is on the ground floor but away from curious eyes of non guest, there are 2 function room and 3 nice cubicle for enjoying meal.
Tips : There are 2 main view, 1 is facing rice field, the other facing the mountain. Choose your favourite but mainly sunset of mountain looks great.

Perfect relaxing stay!!
Pros:

Loved it all!! Great beds, good hospitality, great breakfast at the rooftop, tiny houses with karaoke, good beds and the best the Pool❤️
We loved it also you can lunch and have diner at the rooftop so after a day relaxing and being lazy just walk upstairs and have diner.
