Palazzo Tafuri Boutique Hotel

Our family and friends spent four unforgettable days at Palazzo Tafuri in Nardò during the All Saints’ holidays 2025, and we couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience.
This boutique hotel, set in a stunningly restored historic palace, is a true haven of elegance and tranquility. The interiors are beautifully designed — minimalist yet warm — and our rooms were spacious, bright, and very comfortable.
The facilities are first-class: a 14-meter swimming pool, sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, and a superb spa offering outstanding massages. The service is impeccable, with an attentive and caring manager who ensures every detail is perfect.
Breakfast was a delight each morning, and both the restaurant and the bar were excellent — refined yet relaxed, with a lovely atmosphere.
We had an amazing time, and even our children and teenagers were thrilled. The town of Nardò is simply beautiful, full of baroque churches, charming squares, and impressive palazzi.
A hidden gem in the heart of Salento – we highly recommend Palazzo Tafuri to anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful, and authentic Italian escape.

The hotel itself was lovely, we were upgraded and very grateful. Concierge very helpful. The spa was nice, probably could do with slightly more beds but not really an issue.
We had massages, it was good but not the best we’ve had in Puglia for the price, it was quite cold in the room which made it less enjoyable.
Food at the restaurant was good but again not the best, they were accommodating of my vegetarian request for the tasting menu. Nardo itself is a great location as a base to travel around Puglia but not a huge amount going on.

From the time we entered until the time we left we enjoyed excellent service and the hotel amenities. The team at the hotel are friendly and helpful. The spa with the pool, sauna, hammam and jacuzzi are a must. The restaurant had excellent food. Our room was to die for. It was spacious, tastefully decorated, comfortable for louning on a rainy day and had a beautiful fresco on the ceiling. It was a pleasure to admire while in the bathtub! I would return to this palazzo without hesitation.

This is our third trip back to Palazzo Tafuri. It is our hidden treat in sleepy Nardo. The facilities are excellent , the suites are very stylish and modern. The management and the staff are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The restaurant is one of the very best in the Nardo area and we ate there twice. It was busy on both occasions and both the food and service was excellent. It enjoyed a mix of guests and local people which is always a good sign. Breakfast is very good with a wide range of choice. The Bacco & Crudi bar is a relaxing place for an afternoon dinner drink. The weather was a bit windy when we were in Nardo but the sheltered pool at Tafuri enabled us to enjoy some relaxation and capture a bit of sun. Riccardo and Chiara on reception were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. We will be back!

The palazzo is beautiful and simply perfect, to every single detail. A welcome drink, a spa you can use whenever you like, coffee and fruit in the room, candles and flowers in the lobby, .... Everything beautiful and spotless.

I have, hands down, never stayed in a better hotel. It is like living in an Italian Palace in a possible dream. Everything from the quality of the food, the incredible and attentive staff (thank-you in particular Davide) to the bed linen and toiletries is exquisite.

The best and the absolutely most incredible and well managed hotel we ever tried. Even as we travel a lot all over the world, this has so far been the to date best one. We have now been there twice and we will for sure come back! There is not a few things to say positive about this place. Everything and everyone working is just perfect and so professional, so dedicated to make your stay perfect. Thanks to everyone at Palazzo Tafuri for making our stay yet again excellent.

As special as the building is, the staff truly stood out: warm, professional, and genuinely attentive, with thoughtful tips for exploring the area.

The rooms are stylish, many with private terraces, and the rooftop sunset is not to be missed.

We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant, and while not every review reflects our experience, to us, Palazzo Tafuri offers something rare: authenticity with grace and style.

Beautiful designed hotel but poor food and service lets it down. We waited 40 minutes for the order to be taken and one hour for the food which was not worth the wait.

Not helped by a load of screaming kids from the US running around the dining area.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour. Le Palazzo est très chic et la décoration intérieure très raffinée. Le service très bien et la cuisine du chef nous a fait voyager. Nous recommandons cet établissement!

The facilities and service level was outstanding . Davido spend time touring the facilities and served us a complimentary drink upon arrival . The breakfast was exceptional included a choice of omelets

Absolutely beautiful place, with a very relaxed, stylish vibe, and a friendly and helpful welcome. It’s all well thought through, including customer service which is unobtrusive but there when you need it. It really is delightful. Thankyou to Davide for rescuing my husband in the sudden downpour by running down the road with an umbrella. He must have had a rather wet end of shift! Arrived at Tarufi in the middle of a biblical storm but the warm welcome from Davide into this beautiful oasis of calm transformed our evening. Being shown our gorgeous suite only added to the sense of wellbeing. Spacious, stylish and with a bathroom plenty big enough for two or more! Our outside terrace was somewhat damp courtesy of the downpour, but for sure will be put to full use. Dried out and freshened up we headed down to dinner. It was excellent. The reassuringly short menu has an enticing choice of dishes showcasing local produce. The cookery was excellent and surely a Michelin star will not be long in coming. The wine list provides the perfect complement and is very reasonably priced too. Tucked away in the picturesque back streets of Nardo, Palazzo Tarufi really is hidden gem, a labour of love of which the owners must very proud. Quite rightly so too. We are lucky enough to have six more days to indulge ourselves in their hospitality. We’re sure we’ll enjoy every minute.

Impressed by this delightful hotel tucked away at the edge of the centro storico. Comfortable, quiet and super friendly and helpful staff. An amazing restaurant serving delicious food and a rooftop bar overlooking the city and castle.

We spent 2 nights here. Amazing pool and spa area, great rooftop. Superb service and housekeeping, elegant design. Absolutely recommend, both Nardò and this hotel really are hidden gems.

This boutique hotel has well and truly exceeded my expectations! It was so good that we extended our stay! The location is very central, with a 1 min walk to the main piazza. The rooms are incredibly specious, chic and have all the amenities. The entire property has a rustic feel but is aesthetically very polished, modern and superbly clean. The breakfast is continental but plentiful. The dinner at the restaurant is superb. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. This is a true gem in Puglia and I would absolutely not hesitate to stay here again. 11/10
