This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is quiet and private but near the local town with good restaurants and a sheltered beach. The train station is just below with easy access to all the towns of the Cinque Terre. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, the hotel was also super clean and relaxing. The pool area is very beautiful with shady areas for relaxing. We ate twice in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent, the best we had in Liguria. All in all a really wonderful place!
Overall, we had a lovely stay at Hotel Villa Edera e La Torretta. It's in a nice setting, very private, and a good location for both Moneglia itself and the train to other towns, including the Cinque Terre. The dining and the wine tasting were both very good, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. On site parking is tight, but nothing tricky. The grounds are attractive and the pool is lovely, with lots of beds.
I can see this family-run hotel is trying to take itself upmarket and add new services, such as a wellness offer, but I think the price point is a bit high at the moment as the transformation is not yet complete. For reference, we had just come from a beautiful Tuscany city where we had a modern suite with a balcony and separate sitting room. No pool, but it was half the price. The decor and some of the furniture of our room felt dated. There were teddies in boxes on the wall, and some amateurish art. There is now a picture of this room on the web, but if I had seen it before I wouldn't have booked. We had two balconies but one looked over the car park. The other was high sided and when seated, there was no view.
Apparently there's a gym, but we weren't shown it.
We found the breakfasts a bit strange. There's very little on the buffet, so that looks a bit sparse. Cheese, ham, etc is to order along with the cooked fare. I wasn't especially impressed with the hot food.
Most of what I've mentioned are niggles, it's a nice place. Just a bit expensive right now.
I feel this hotel is overpriced but I suppose you are paying for location but we had no sea view .. restaurant was ok but had better in town … parking is extra ..
lovely breakfast .. comfy beds .. hard to find if driving .. but great for train to cinque terra … massage was amazing .. overall good but just feel was too much £
Also kept getting emails asking me to pay when had booked through Expedia and paid !
Colazione ottima
Posizione ottima
Really good!

This hotel is a true hidden gem which offers the perfect environment for a restorative experience, away from the hectic tourism of Cinque Terre. We look forward to visiting again soon.
Fantastiskt hotell en riktigt pärla med enastående service och familjär känsla.
Friendly owner and staff. Delicious breakfast with local/home ingredients. Amazing their handmade fruits juice mix! Their dinner restaurant is also unforgettable. House cocktails with their homemade secret ingredients were fantastic.
Fantastic hotel, with great staff and facilities. Great breakfast.
Moneglia a pleasant town, without over tourism and on the railway line up to Genoa
Friendly staff. Great location. Loved the pool!!!
A beautiful boutique hotel built on the wall of the valley. The bedroom was well designed and very comfortable.
The pool area was well maintained. The staff were charming. The restaurant was fabulous, we had great food.
A must for the discerning traveller. The staff at Villa Edera went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The bedroom very comfortable and the pool area extremely welcome. Very convenient for the train station for links to Cinque terre, Portofino etc. Highly recommended.
