A hotel that brands eco-friendly policy as a euphemism for minimal housekeeping and charges for extra blanket. Even daily ration of tea bags and coffee in the room has to be requested! Housekeeping is done on alternate days and guests have to bring out trash. Having stayed in many other hotels in many countries which practice no disposables, no daily change of sheets and towels etc for environmental reasons which I can understand and support, this hotel brings environmental policies to a new level that makes one's stay an unpleasant one. For a family of four, we requested an additional blanket for the children (we visited right smack in winter) and hotel charged eleven thousand won per blanket per night.
Location is between Chungmuro and Myeongdong.
Maintenance is bad. The sensor of room corridors spoilt, 1 minute darkness and 1 minute light. 3 lightbulbs in the room, 1 is not working.
The space is as per picture, small. For more than 2 pax, u are better off with apartment hotel.
Feedback to reception manager and the manager is looking at computer screen while saying apology.
All thıngs were amazıng,cleanıng and near the main city and destınatıon. Staff were kind and heplfull thanks for everything
This is a perfect location for getting around Seoul and beyond. We were there for 21 days and it became like home to us, familiar and comforting after a long day out! Staff were very pleasant and helpful whenever we approached them.
Extremely comfortable beds, air con, fridge, safe, kettle, hairdryer and half bath with shower, basin and toilet (with bidet...what a luxury! - but beware the enema wash!!). Our rooms also had UK plug sockets, which was brilliant! Beds and towels changed/rooms cleaned regularly. No complaints there at all. Towels are on the small side, so you might want to bring a bath sheet. Slippers provided, and basic toiletries.
There's coffee and tea but the tea is barley tea and there was no sugar or milk - we bought our own from one of the many convenience stores nearby.
There is a water cooler and ice machine at the end of every corridor. Nice little roof terrace that nobody ever seemed to use. The breakfast was not really to our taste (not to say it was bad, just not what we fancied) and we ended up in McDonalds a few times, or bought bread and cheese to have with coffee in the morning. There is lunch available - we tried it once but were never really in the hotel much.
There is no bar or evening restaurant here, it is definitely a place you would stay just for sightseeing. If I'd been on my own I might have chosen a place with a bar and a restaurant, but for our needs it was absolutely perfect. We came to love returning to the hotel and chilling out in our rooms for the evening. I was by the lift so occasionally got disturbed by groups of people waiting for it, but on the whole it was very quiet. I felt extremely safe there, you would be ok if you were brave enough to do a solo trip.
I don't know what storage was like in other rooms, but in the standard double there were no drawers at all, and limited hangers. That would be my only recommendation; there is room for a chest of drawers by the bed or under the desk. Otherwise, couldn't fault it.
Laundry is on the lower basement floor, along with the gym. We found it easy to use and a very useful facility.
Overall, we loved this hotel for it's convenient location, the local amenities, the simplicity of the accommodation and the comfort. I would stay there again, without question.
Nice small hotel but the bathroom was tiny!
I was charged $511 for 3 nights. Got a tiny room with no maid service and no amenities. Intermittent wifi. Drunk people screaming and laughing in the hall until 2am. Walls paper thin and heard everything going on in the next room. Breakfast buffet opened at 7am with all the food and coffee already cold at 7am. Awful experience.
Everything was good.
Extremely small room, pillar right in the middle taking up space. Never had the room cleaned even once through the 4 days there. Had a sewage smell the first night, spoke to reception and got it fixed. Noisy taps and could hear toilet being flushed from rooms above at night, so not very quiet. Area convenient to subway, 3 metro station nearby, plus numerous cafes and restaurants.
Staff were all friendly
The hotel is near Myeongdong which is ideal and has good transport links. The room is a bit small side and the bathroom floor gets flooded after a shower since there is no screen .
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Washing facility is so useful.
easy to access to train station, close to GS25 and 7/11
Great spot, washrooms stank horribly couldn’t handle it sometimes for some reason. Drains easily clogged and they charged me for a lost door card.
Family-friendly. Near Myeongdong Market
Price performance is excruciating; only room is a bit too small. Staff is helpful n nice.
Great location but rooms are very tight.
Great
Great
The hotel is very close to the Myeongdong train station and walkable to the Myeongdong shopping and food centre. The beds are very comfortable. The only downside with this hotel is the tiny bathroom.
good location, not as close to the palaces as they say but still would recommend
We stayed in the the family suite for 4. The suite layout was good with double bunk loft, however bathroom layout was one of the worst I have ever. Very difficult to get in and out of the bathroom due to toilet and swinging door so close.....dangerous! If Korea had any building codes, this would be a violation! They should have modeled their bathroom from a cruise ship or got rid of the tub and installed a shower. Never will I stay here or recommend to anyone.
