Incredible place, pool and room are just amazing. Just need to refresh sofa pool.
It was very quiet because it is in an area that is away from the city.
(Although, a rough road to get there)
The pool was not clean.
We will stay again.
Not so bad from the pictures and listing, not so bad private rooms, or oasis pool. However, the staff and service is very unprofessional and unorganized, bordering a criminal run hotel. They tried to add bottle service charges which I never ordered, and went to great lengths to try to make me pay it, even threatening with weapons and police, until thank God Expedia intervened! The property is very far from the beach of Tulum, 50 minute walk, not easy not nice. Restaurant closes so early at 3:00 pm
The property is very isolated, nothing is within walking distance. Cabs charge $35 USD for a 10 min ride. Walking around the hotel was a pain because of the stones all around, very unsafe for someone who has been drinking. The bedsheets smelled like mildew. There is no actual shower, just a random tub in the middle of the room that makes a huge mess when you shower. The on property restaurant closes at 4pm so you're screwed for dinner if you don't want to pay $80 for a cab ride to & from another restaurant. The guy who received us at the front desk had an attitude and wasn't helpful with anything at all, the maintenance guy was more helpful than he was. Our rooms power also went out for 2 minutes our first night there.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! Staff were very friendly and professional, will be staying here when we return to Tulum!
Wonderful experience
The Staff at Rubi Tulum was Excellent! I give everything a 5 stars! A great place in the Jungle to hang out and relax. I will be back! Thank you Rubi Tulum.
Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, breathtaking view and property! Highly recommend this place. Must have a car to get around as it is located in a remote area.
Property was far away from everything and extremely dark at night roads were horrible.
Great experience with cool Tulum jungle vibe and very friendly staff.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere—no restaurants, no stores, nothing. The only food available was the hotel’s limited breakfast and lunch options. Getting there cost me 1,000 pesos in taxi fare because the roads were pitch-black, unsafe, and impossible to walk. Outside, it was a construction zone—dust, noise, and chaos everywhere. Morning, I was woken up by loud construction sounds, making it impossible to rest.
The room was freezing, with only a thin quilt and no comforter. I asked for one, but no one was at the front desk at night, and by morning, they simply told me that comforters weren’t provided. It was unacceptable. I couldn’t sleep, woke up sick from the cold, and endured endless noise.
After seeing the poor environment, the construction dust, and the constant noise, I was immediately concerned for my health and wanted to leave before even checking in. The hotel initially agreed to refund me but later refused. Left with no choice, I stayed one miserable night and left first thing the next morning.
As a female traveler, the area was terrifying—completely deserted, with no shops, no restaurants, and no delivery services. After dark, I was trapped in the hotel, hungry and scared.
This was supposed to be a vacation, but it felt like punishment. Freezing cold, noisy, unsafe, and completely isolated—this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Absolutely appalling.
This is a beautiful boutique property in the jungles of Tulum. The grounds were well maintained and felt like a botanical garden. The pools were beautiful and refreshing (a little chilly). Dayanne and the other staff were exceptional; welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We went during the “off season” and therefore had limited access to amenities (restaurant was only open for brunch). The local food delivery service Tomato was a game changer and helped us enjoy local foods without leaving the property. While the roads nearby were in poor condition, they were fairly easy to navigate using an ATV or scooter. Taxis had no trouble and were easy to access.
when i got there it was like no welcoming because i got there at 7 there was no receptionist so the security took us too our room and that was it, I mentioned bout my vip access the next day n they said they didn't know anything about what that was, didn't get no drinks or anything, the restaurant was closed when we got there so we had to call another taxi to get something to eat, they should atleast have a snack store or room service since theres nothing close or walking distance, hotel was just nice just needs more pptions for guest.
The hotel had a stunning design and an amazing vibe—you’d never even realize you’re in the middle of the jungle. The room was spotless, and the staff was exceptionally friendly.
This place was absolutely beautiful. It’s romantic, secluded, clean, tranquil, peaceful, and just flat out perfect for what I was looking for. The last bit of the trip to get there, the road was a bit torn up from construction but once you walk inside your just in awe. Staff was amazing and friendly, property is so well taken care of I felt like I was little oasis.
The restaurant and the bar are closed at the moment. You are literally in the jungle and if you want to order a drink you can’t. We are not informed in advance of this and is unfair. The hotel has high potential!
Good food and service
Pictures does no justice this place is absolutely gorgeous. Trust me you’ll love it.
