The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai

David martinez at the beach was amazing all day excellent service. Hotel is 10 of 10. We are definitely gonna be returning.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the Edition. The people at the front are extremely accommodating, Montserrat and Macarena are very helpful. At the beach area Oscar and Pablo are great and Paco is the best of the best. I would ask for Paco’s area specifically. He went above on beyond the make us feel at home and is just a great human.

Only issue we had was with hot water in the shower which they fixed pretty quickly.

We would definitely go back!

Had a great dinner with excellent service (especially Henry)! They surprised us with a cake and sparklers for a birthday! Hope to return!!

We went to The EDITION the first week of December to celebrate our babymoon and had the most amazing time. The resort was very clean and the landscaping was beautiful. The staff and guest experience was what stood out to us the most. We were welcomed with chocolate covered strawberries in our room and from each day on were treated to little surprises. We spent a day at the cabana on the pier and the staff surprised us with a special babymoon celebration (sparklers and all!) with a delicious dessert. We also loved the "fake oysters" we had at the pool. The mocktails were so yummy and the food we ate everywhere was amazing. We enjoyed visiting the nearby resorts for dinner as well and found it nice that the EDITION provided us with a complimentary golfcart ride to dinner.

Currently staying here and have been underwhelmed . Concierge is clueless, they have not done a great job with my wife’s allergies at the restaurants, and the main pool is ice cold. So they are allowing families to use the adult pool and there are not enough chairs. I have never stayed at a high end resort that doesn’t have a heated pool. No clue of its broken or doesn't exist, cant get a straight answer. Housekeeping also showed up so late after multiple requests

The room and resort are gorgeous but for the price im paying, the service has been comically bad.

Quite possibly the worst concierge staff I have ever dealt with. I just decided to do everything myself

The hotel is located approximately 40 minutes from the airport and sits within a shared compound alongside two other properties—the St. Regis and Auberge. A convenient golf cart system makes it easy to travel between the three resorts. While the hotel feels somewhat isolated from outside surrounding areas, the hotel itself is exceptional, with impeccably maintained grounds. Staff members are constantly visible and consistently maintaining the grounds.

Guest rooms are spread across three separate buildings, though none offers an advantage over the others. Service throughout the resort is exceptional. At both pools, attendants regularly checked in to see if we needed anything—fresh towels, ice, water—and even repositioned umbrellas to provide additional shade as needed. Everyone we interacted with consistently went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable.

The gym and spa are both beautiful and very well maintained. While high pricing is expected at this type of resort, the spa services were still notably expensive, with massages exceeding $400 USD including gratuity. The gym is complimentary for guests and accessible 24 hours a day using your room key.

The restaurants throughout the compound offer a variety of dining options, all of which allow charges to be applied directly to your room. While each venue provides a high-end experience, pricing across the restaurants is fairly consistent on the expensive side.

We had a wonderful dinner at the So’ol Edition with our friends while visiting Riviera Maya the whole seabass was excellent as well as the short rib. Brian was our server and was super attentive to us from all of the salts that he offered us on our margaritas to the local Mexican wine suggestions that he gave us. I would highly recommend coming here if you’re in Riviera Maya!

Marco was an excellent waiter and cabana attendant! Highly recommend! The NYE festivities were also lovely- delicious buffet at So'ol and a fun beach party afterwards! Festive season schedule is nice for adults and kids. Maybe more for adults outside the holidays, but perfect for all now.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Edition. We had two families with our kids there and they accommodated our every need! Solomon and David Martinez and many others at the pool and cabana area were outstanding staff members helping us ring in the new year with pure magic! Thank you Edition @ Kanai!

Such an amazing experience, beautiful rooms and atmosphere. Every part of the hotel feels masterfully crafted. Was lucky enough to be taken care of by the pool by Ricardo all week, he is the absolute best.

Raphael and Brian made sure our experience amazing during my whole stay at the edition kanai . They constantly ensured sure our food was always fresh from the kitchen and politely checking up on us offering us beverages and authentic Mexican snacks. Further providing options for us to travel for our trip.

I’ve stayed at some of the most famous luxury hotels in the world and none of them came close to the service at The Edition Riviera Maya. The people here truly care. The pool and beach staff went above and beyond every day — explaining drinks, securing the best spots, and treating us with genuine warmth. Even housekeeping was exceptional, cleaning the room thoughtfully while we were still getting ready and always responding quickly whenever we needed anything.

On the one occasion something was missed, the Director of Bars personally made it right with a beautiful Chablis — the kind of sincere accountability you rarely see in hospitality anymore.

The restaurant Kiis made my girlfriend’s birthday unforgettable — from carrying in hundreds of roses to singing and celebrating with us like family. It was a moment we’ll remember forever.

Special thanks to Fernando, Eros, and Jiavani and please extend my appreciation to the Director of Bars as well. The Chablis was perfect.

This hotel doesn’t just offer luxury — it offers heart. We will absolutely be back.

We had an amazing experience at the Edition, in large part due to the incredible Edition Team. They were truly top notch and went out of their way to make our stay special. As an example, when it rained one day, they re-arranged a table and chairs to find us space in the So’ol restaurant. Our server Miguel (Tocayo) had great food and drink recommendations and kept us happy while we waited for the rain to subside. This is just one instance of the remarkable dedication and support from the Edition. A beautiful hotel, but an even better staff who will make your experience distinctive and unique

Absolute amazing experience from the time we arrived. I spend about a 100 days a year for the last decade in a hotel and I would have to say this was a top 3 all time experience. Besides the property being beautiful the thoughtfulness of the food and beverage program was honestly top tier. Even when properties boast about their restaurants, they usually fall flat. Complete opposite here! Ki’is the signature restaurant would be a top 10 restaurant in nyc. Believe me I know I dine monthly there. Also an amazing experience from ismial who was a server in the lobby bar and the F&B director Emanuel was somehow everywhere on property making sure guests were attended too (although not necessary since every staff member was top notch) he even sent a dessert to our room when he heard my girlfriend was a dessert fan. Also to note she has a nut allergy and everyone on property relayed the message so when we sat down they already knew and lets us know. Top tier all the way we can’t wait to go back!

The beach set up is wonderful. Paco on the beach was outstanding. He is absolutely exceptional. Every day set up our chairs and made sure our every need was met.

The staff at the beach were absolutely excellent. Paco, Ramon, and the team always went above and beyond and met all of our needs. They were so nice and made our stay 10 times better.

Dined at Sool on our first night. After a long travel day it was the right call. The staff curated the perfect meal and were a real pleasure to speak with and ask questions about the restaurant and property in general. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for my baby moon! It was really lovely, great food and chill atmosphere. On the Kanai resort complex there are other resorts you can eat at too.

Our family dined at So’ol Beach Club for dinner. We really enjoyed our time, especially because of Marco, our server. He was wonderful and very accommodating to our big, loud family! He was the best part of the night; we really loved his service, attention, and kindness. We would absolutely come back if we had him as our server again!
