Hotel El Caballo Blanco

I came here the first time in July and I fell in love with the place so much that I had to go back just 4 months later. The hotel is beautiful, right on the beach, in the most beautiful quaint place! The owner (Tina) is amazing and a great help with local recommendations. The entire hotel is exceptionally clean and every room has all the necessities (big screen TV, fridge, safe, toiletries, coffee machine and coffee along with it, safe, beach towels, wifi, etc). I rarely stay in the same place twice, but I felt so good while staying here, that it almost felt like home. It's quiet, safe, peaceful and so relaxing... this is now one of my favorite places to go so well worth the trip and the money! It's 10 stars every time!

The hotel was amazing! Tina is such hospitable person! We live in Nebraska and she helped organize my whole wedding from nails to photographer to flowers and cake all the way from home and when I got there it was better than I could have imagined! Had the best time! The people of mahahual are very friendly and kind. Everything was clean and the scene was beautiful, such a great location and the family loved it! A quiet area with only the sound of the ocean at nighttime! And was very good at having someone be there the clean up our rooms multiple times throughout our trip! I don’t think I would say anywhere else. Right next to scuba and snorkeling excursions and a yummy beautiful restaurant named yayas and they will serve your drinks and food right on the beach to you! Everything is pretty much walking distance!

We absolutely LOVE this hotel..we spent two weeks here during Covid and have been coming back every year..Tina ( owner) is very knowledgeable and happy to share her favorite restaurants, and things to do and see in the area. The rooftop pool is such a hidden gem and has amazing views..Can’t wait to return in December..

Husband and I spent some time at this hotel. It is just perfect! In the middle of town. Tina is so nice. But the view is to die for!!! Hammock, chairs and a small pool on the top floor. Just a piece of heaven!

Tina has been so helpful and friendly! Definitely will be coming back! Amazing work and patience, exceptional job so grateful for the help!

Me gusto que es céntrico, está limpio y es un lugar seguro y tranquilo.

al llegar al hotel la persona que nos atendió muy grosera el lugar no cuenta con estacionamiento y apesta horrible la playa extremadamente llena de sargazo no soporte le olor por lo que preferí buscar otro lugar donde estuviera mas higiénico todo y con playa limpia y una mejor actitud

I have been coming to this hotel for over 15 years. The hotel and its location are incredible. I always book a terrace room which i enjoyed for the sunrise and sound of the ocean. At night, a peek around the corner of the terrace revealed sunset and WOW. The owner (Tina) is an incredible person. She is very welcoming, accommodating and well informed. I would recommend this for solo, couples, friends and those with families and children. Very safe, excellent air-conditioning and always consistent.

We visited Mahahual for the first time, traveling from Cancun with a stop at Xel-Ha along the way. The property manager was very accommodating and arranged a smooth late check-in for us. My daughter absolutely loved the beach right in front of the hotel, and we also booked an amazing snorkeling tour. While the hotel doesn’t have on-site parking, we found a safe spot by the basketball court just behind the property. We stayed in a double room, which was comfortable and met our needs, with cozy beds for a good night’s rest.

La atención fue amable y eficiente, el lugar es muy tranquilo, pero falta limpieza y mantenimiento a la infraestructura urbana.

En términos generales, estuvo bien, el único inconveniente es que al llegar al hotel hubo una confusión en la habitación, y la persona que nos atendió en primer momento, nos proporciona una información diferente, respecto al costo para poder acceder a la habitación que nosotros queríamos, ya al llegar la persona encargada, nos dijo que el costo era mayor, al final logramos resolverlo y hacer una negociación, pero de inicio fue un poco incómodo que nos otorgarán información diferente.

No cuenta con estacionamiento, sin embargo dejamos nuestro auto en la avenida principal y fue muy seguro.
Me encantó que para solicitar servicio de limpieza, nosotros lo pedíamos, de lo contrario no se hacía, nos dio privacidad y comodidad.

No existe cordialidad en la recepción, las habitaciones sin problemas

La vista es muy bonita, el cuarto tiene lo necesario y se siente acogedor. Cuenta con mosquitero por lo que se puede tener la puerta de la terraza abierta para disfrutar de la brisa sin preocuparse por los insectos, y también tiene aire acondicionado.

La playa es muy tranquila, y aunque baja mucho el nivel del agua durante el día, se puede estar sentado en el agua disfrutando. De igual forma, fue de las pocas playas que no tenían sargazo o increíblemente poco, para la cantidad que se podía observar a unos 300 metros por la orilla.

A dos edificios de distancia hay un restaurante muy agradable llamado Yaya.

Recomendamos este hotel para una estancia en Mahahual. Seguro volveremos.

Right on the beach in a quiet little fishing village. Clean and comfortable. Run by the owner, Lisa, you will be made to feel welcome immediately. Most of the locals like Lisa, so telling people youre staying at her hotel gets you access to the other beach clubs and a little special treatment!
We had a hard time finding airport transportation from Tulum, but call Lisa and she will help you out.
