I feel like I was cat fished by website photos of what the place looked like years ago. Currently this place is tired looking, dirty and not maintained. The photos on the website of common areas that people can “use” -don’t really exist. Furniture has been moved or the spaces are just empty or unusable. I literally feel like the owner has given up. Rusty garbage cans and kitchen utensils. The standard of clean is more like a worn out and over used hostel rather than a boutique hotel. There are some resident cats and dogs which were cute but don’t expect pet droppings to be picked up for days. I rented two rooms, one for me and my husband and one for my daughter and her friend. My patio had one chair? How do you sit on the patio with a companion - with one chair? The owner was a relatively nice and friendly lady - but if you ask for anything or point out the filth of the place or how the garbage can is total rusty (so you don’t even want to touch it…) or how there are discoloured toilet brushes with globs of hair and dirt stuck to them… her answer “it’s the hard water” or “it’s the way it is here”… I would not use the word “boutique” to describe this tired and worn out accommodation.
This property is exactly how it appears in the pictures. Not too hard to find with the best coffee in Sayulita just 200m away!
We stayed here for 10 nights and loved it. The room was amazing and we could really relax here. Anne made feel very comfortable and welcomed, always answered all of our questions and had good recommendations. Would stay here again!
The space was very clean, lovely, felt very safe, and was easy walking distance from downtown. The balcony was wonderful. The taco place next door was excellent. AC worked well. Anne was helpful and friendly. Downsides: I found the bed somewhat uncomfortable, and 2 of the 3 nights I was there, I was kept awake by loud live music in the neighborhood (until almost 2am Saturday and 10:30pm Sunday), despite being a few blocks from downtown, which I had hoped would make it quieter.
Really pretty and comfortable place
