Bathroom was amazing, TV and lighting was greatly nice. Spacious room with a good view.
The pool needed to be frequently cleaned, a lot of dead flies and bugs in the water throughout the day. The beds were a bit stiff.
Very nice room
The noise from outside
The location was nice. The bed was comfortable.
There was not one chair to sit in in the advertised "sitting room", nor a single table to put anything on. We brought snacks and drinks and had to sit on the bed to eat. We asked for a chair or a table and we were allowed to use a tiny one from the lobby and the desk person said she could give us some from outside (which had mildewy/moldy cushions on them and were sitting out in the rain). There was no lighting, other than the end table lights. The divider on the "balcony" was removed between our unit and the one next to us and two large metal pieces were sticking up, causing a hazard. The drawers for clothes could not be used, as there is safe in one and the other is unable to open because of placement of the end tables. There was no coffee in the room other than decaf (no one wants that in the morning). To top it off, when we arrived and said "Happy New Year, how are you?" to the front desk worker, she replied, "Wish I was anywhere but here." What a lovely welcome to arrive to. After we saw the room and the abysmal features, we asked about a different room, to which we were told there were none, but could clearly tell later in the evening that there were others available, We are local and have stayed at many hotels in our city, and this is the first time I can say that I have stayed somewhere and will NEVER book again. If it was not NYE and all other hotels were booked, we would have left and gone somewhere else.
Super cute, historic building in an amazing location. Plenty of food and shopping opportunities within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would also highly recommend The Switchboard, a coffee house in the hotel- 11/10.
The room got pretty cold during the night, which was sort of expected given it was in the low teens at night and the building is made of concrete- recommended bringing warm pjs if you'll be staying during the cold season.
I did not have time to eat breakfast as I had to catch a plane. The dinner at the Paseo was outstanding. I like the room. A chair to sit on would have been nice.
Location
Cement floors not inviting had a drunk guy try to get into our room from outside middle of night. Left a day early will never go back. Not Hilton quality at all. Undesirable staff and cold atmosphere
My girlfriend and I had a great time while staying at the Myriad. Pamela at the front desk was exceptional, and made our stay very easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend staying at the Myriad while in Louisville.
Great place great location . Lots of things to do around the hotel. Super decorative and interesting. Rooms are large have great ceilings and decorative accents.
Stayed here for girls’ weekend. Easy to walk to fabulous restaurants. Hassle-free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the coffee bar!
My husband and I were very happy with our stay here.the room we had booked king 2 room suite wasn’t really a 2 room suite bc the extra room was outside and it was chilly and rainy (room 108) So that description should be changed on the website. Decided to go to front desk and ask for different room and luckily Director of Operations was working and moved us to a larger room with a separate living room (not separated by door but a partition) so my husband who gets up early could be in there without waking me. Room 221 was great! Comfortable and quiet most of the time even though it faces a major road (Bardstown Rd). At night heard some motorcycles or cars racing which was noisy but only happened a few times. Only complaint I’d have is light switch controls both rooms and it’s either off in both rooms or on in both. This is a large room so IMO you should be able to have one light on and one off. Room was rather dark all over especially by sink and couch. Hard to read. I’d just suggest improving the lighting but I’d totally stay here again - love the Highlands neighborhood! Wish the coffee spot had any food that is gluten free and adds some items like smoothies, coconut yogurt, etc. we didn’t eat there due to no options at all for me.
Love this hotel, eps for the price! No frills, but super cute!! My kids loved it as well and we didn’t feel too bad about them being loud(ish) bc of the location on lively Bardstown rd. Great pool, great restaurant, attentive staff. Will book again.
Good location and nice sized rooms. Walking distance to lots of restaurants. Did not enjoy the shower curtain in the bathroom for the shower.
Great old revitalized building with great food/drink options within walking distance. Small two story building, do not expect a traditional hotel layout.
The Myriad Hotel Louisville, Tapestry Collection By Hilton was the perfect find for my business trip to Louisville! It has all the unique charm and qualities of a boutique hotel, with the backing of of the longstanding Hilton brand. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Louisville for either business or pleasure. It's location is ideal for walking to many bars and restaurants, and a quick ride to anywhere else in Louisville. I couldn't be happier!
Pros:
-Great location: walkable to plenty of restaurants like Goodfellas pizza, a dog park Bar, a few Irish pub/eateries, coffee, etc.
-Cool minimalistic/ industrial vibe in the rooms. A calming teal blue, white, with some wood elements to warm it up. There is also a nice big fridge for leftovers, a smart TV, and little cosmetic kits in the bathrooms. We also love the coffee shop in the building.
-Pet friendly: Both times we’ve stayed, we’ve had a room near an exit which is perfect to let the dogs out. There’s a large chaise lounge chair that our dogs always love to sleep on.
Cons:
-Bedding: We really struggled with the sheets. There’s no fitted sheet. Just a flat sheet to sleep on top of, then another flat sheet, a comforter, then another flat sheet. I felt like we were getting tangled in our sheets all night. We would have preferred a fitted sheet, a sheet, and a duvet cover or something.
-Lighting: There is no ceiling light. It was very very dim in our room. There were only two very small bedside lights.
-Pets: For a pet friendly hotel, I would have loved to have a doggy bag/trash can combo somewhere around the building. Or a trash can at the VERY least. We had to throw all of our doggy bags out inside (which I’m sure is unpleasant for staff)
Overall a great stay if you need a place in this area that is pet friendly. Our dogs love it.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel, and the team is top notch. I can't get enough of the fact that it used to be a disco ball factory, that is so random & cool. Definitely recommend!
