Hotel Lucine

The pillows were way too soft and not supportive enough for sleeping. The mattress isn't all that comfortable either, and I tossed and turned throughout the night. The choice of music for the NYE celebration wasn't great, as we had to have earplugs just to enjoy our evening. Wi-Fi didn't work, or at least it didn't for us, so we had to use our data while on vacation, which wasn't pleasant. There aren't clear instructions on how or where to get ice for guests who've never stayed at the hotel before; clearer information could be provided.

I will definitely return to Hotel Lucine. The room was comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The style felt elevated without being pretentious—minimal with a subtle nod to the ’60s, yet clearly modern. The bed was very comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well cared for. The hotel was quiet, parking was easy, and check-in and check-out were effortless. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I loved being right on the Seawall and really enjoyed the view. Breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant’s Gulf-facing setting made it even better.

This place screams attention to detail. The mid century modern decor is chic yet cozy. The lobby is amazing for lingering with a book and a latte from the fantastic coffee bar! The staff is incredible. Hotel Lucine is full of charm! We stayed for 3 nights leading up to a cruise. We explored Galveston a bit but honestly this is the best place there. For local Texans this would be the perfect staycation.
Weekend nights have a lively vibe with bands playing by the pool. If you go to bed early or are sensitive to noise- ask for the second floor. Great rooftop lounge-pool was very relaxing.
If you have mobility issues I don’t think there’s an elevator. I’d definitely stay here again if back in Galveston!!

Don't be deceived by the older, weathered look of the outside. Rooms were clean and pretty, bar was great and dining was wonderful. Lobby and outdoor patio super.

Loved the Lucine. We will definitely return. Things that could make it better: larger rug, a luggage rack, dedicated parking for guests. ❤️

I had the pleasure of staying here during an Alair Homes event a few weeks ago and I was very impressed with accommodations. The staff is super friendly (makes you feel like you're apart of their family), the food was incredible, and the atmosphere was amazing!! Don't judge a book by it's cover is the best way I can describe this establishment!!

Staff-Amazing, ..SUPER friendly. Heated pool was nice for our granddaughter on a cool day. The staff found my makeup bag in the parking lot and reunited me with it. I love this hotel!

Sweet little place, right on the ocean, with clean rooms, friendly atmosphere, great food. I’ve already recommended it.

The Fancy Restaurant I rate as best on the island. The waiters and checkin hosts were both professional and extremely friendly including being beyond our expectations.

Exactly like the pictures, very classy little hotel, friendly staff, super comfortable beds, rooms smelled clean and were spotless, very enjoyable experience! Rooftop bar has view of gulf and beautiful sunsets! Room was so cute! Highly recommend for a clean, comfortable, friendly experience!

The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Pool area is perfect to chill day and night. Great place to relax and enjoy the beach nearby. Loved it.

I stayed at Hotel Lucine for a business trip to Galveston and really enjoyed the stay. The staff was extremely accommodating and cheerful. The building and grounds were immaculate. The location was great and siting on the rooftop deck enjoying drinks while looking out over the Gulf was a delight. All in all, a very nice stay. Finally, the mid-century vibe was unique and very enjoyable.

Beautiful hotel! Super clean. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Can’t say enough! Don’t let the exterior fool you, it’s set up in a courtyard style, secure and safe, and just gorgeous!

The style of Hotel Lucine is a refreshing alternative to what you'd expect from Galveston. Between the cozy mid century feel of the lobby lounge, the view from the rooftop, and the deck surrounding heated pool, there's no shortage of places to relax. The staff are warm and inviting and the kitchen had no problem accommodating my gluten sensitivity. And the bar(s) are fantastic, providing a stacked cocktail menu with the standards you expect as well as their own superb creations to and an extensive list of spirits such as bourbon and mezcal.

Hotel is absolutely darling. Location is 6 minutes from Port. Great staff. Fabulous food and drinks. The whole package!
