It's a quirky collections of renovated old buildings in downtown Asheville. The decorations are art deco and fun. The location is ideal for walking to Wicked Weed, downtown in general, and even to the art district (25 minutes on foot). The rooms are generous in size and nicely appointed. The parking is an additional $12/day.
The included breakfast was heavy on the sweet stuff (muffins, etc.) and short on the savory. And no fruit. So the last day we went out for bagels instead.
The much-touted bar wasn't actually open any of the three nights we were there. But as I said, Wicked Weed is a 3 minute walk.
Good value - exceptional location - beautiful design
Love the location and the decor was fabulous. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
Most comfortable bed. My daughter left her necklace in the bathroom. Not only was it turned in but they held on to it for me until I could pick it up 4 days later.
I didn’t like having to pay to park.
Zelda Dearest was a luxurious stay! The room was so thoughtfully designed and decorated, and we had everything we would need and felt so at home. All of the staff were amazing as well, they really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, especially the 2 gentlemen at the front desk. We came to see a show at the Orange Peel and Zelda Dearest is right around the corner! We can't wait to come back and stay again!
Loved everything!
Beautiful place close to everything!
Nothing to not like.
The staff were very nice, helpful and extremely accommodating. The room was lovely, spacious and well-appointed.
My only suggestion for improvement would be to have some healthier options for breakfast (i.e., fewer items containing added sugar, more protein options, etc).
The location was wonderful and there was on-site parking. The property was attractive although we didn't spend time outside due to the weather.
Visitors need to know that there are many stairs and an absence of elevators.
The room was unique it needs a proper second bed instead of pull out for the price. The parking and walk up to room was hard for my father who is 86
Well the breakfast was less than acceptable for the price. You should serve a hot breakfast instead of cold oats and dated danish and quiches.
