I had to make another reservation at a different Hotel because Rita the manager said there are shootings and stabbing in the area of hotel GiGi.

Room was small, but clean & quiet. No parking. No one on property to greet us, but did a fair job of accommodating us. Fair price for downtown area.

Very convenient for Petco Park. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. Bring your own shampoo/soap just in case.

Clean and comfortable room. The key was super close to Petco Park, went to a Padres game, hosted the Brewers and won 7-0

Hotel Gigi is a delightful and affordable little low key place to stay in the Gas Lamp/East Village area close to meetings, coffee shops and places to meet up with friends. I loved it!

Location

The Hotel Gigi more than met my needs: clean, comfortable, quiet. The hotel staff was helpful. It was Expedia or Hotels.com that gave me anxiety by not sending me a pre-arrival e-mail to inform me of my room number and room code. Fortunately, I was able to speak to the hotel concierge who texted me the information, not the agencies responsible for dong so.

It’s clean the padres stadium is near by

I emailed twice and called once for a possible early check in. No response at all. Very frustrating. Room was clean and very small. Overall was fine but will not stay there again.

There are no staff present; this is a low-cost but perfectly clean/functional hotel without its own parking in a great location. If that’s what you’re looking for, this is great. Happy I found it.

It was a lot of homeless people and they can get a bit aggressive

As others have stated, you dont stay at Hotel Gigi for the amenities or space. Room is tiny, but perfect to go to Petco and enjoy Gaslamp after a game. My husband and i would def come back.

Perfect if you're in for a night and seeing a Padres game. Just a block away.

Hotel Gigi absolutely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and genuine smiles from the staff. The lobby has a chic, modern vibe that instantly makes you feel like you’re somewhere special. My room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable — the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud.

The location is perfect — right in the heart of San Diego, making it easy to explore the Gaslamp Quarter, waterfront, and all the local attractions. I also loved the little touches: complimentary coffee in the morning, fast Wi-Fi, and thoughtful amenities that made my stay even better.

What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and even gave me amazing local recommendations for dining and nightlife. I left feeling refreshed, well cared for, and already planning my next stay.

If you’re visiting San Diego, do yourself a favor — book Hotel Gigi. You’ll be glad you did!

I wasn't a big fan of not having someone at the front desk. Iike to have the interaction with a human. I was able to talk to the host on the phone and she was great. I was able to drop off my suitcase before checking in. Location if you plan to visit Petco park .
