Great location in Corktown! Would stay here again anytime I am in Detroit.
The hotel is decent, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed here for a weekend by myself, without a car, and I wouldn't recommend it if you're in the same situation. Staying downtown would have been much more convenient because of the better transportation options.
I was placed in a room right next to the elevators (236, I believe), and for some reason the hotel staff started making a great deal of noise there early every morning—well before 8:00 a.m. As a result, I had several terrible mornings because of the constant disturbance. I honestly don't understand why there had to be so much commotion in that area. The staff should know better than to make that much noise near guest rooms so early in the morning.
The hotel was really nice , the roof top bar had amazing drinks !

Antonio and Alicia were the 2 employees who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. These two are huge assets to the company. They were so kind and had such a fantastic energy.
No smoking area
It took the hotel an hour after check in to have even 1 of our 2 rooms available. We sat in the lobby with our luggage. The front desk was able to place us in an alternate room while we waited for the second room to be ready. We had 6 adults with us which made this difficult in space. We had reservations and need to get ready so being so kate to check into our room and with lack of space made this challenging.
Ambience decor and location
The Godfrey is gorgeous..we couldn't wait to stay there and have now done so twice in the last month. Facility is beautiful and the beds of the utmost comfort.. the double blackout shades are incredible, you would think its midnight at noon.
Price..over $300+ is a little crazy and was over $100 more than we paid the first time we stayed there..but it was Techno Fest weekend this time around.
