The steps to the second story are a bit difficult.

Checking into the property was easy and straightforward. The rooms were nice and clean. Stayed on the second floor - took awhile to get hot water to the shower. Only thing that we did not like was my wife tried calling ahead to see if the room had a refrigerator, but when she called all she got was an automated answering system with prompts and was never able to get in touch with anyone to answer her question. We only stayed one night ate across the street and the food was nicely priced and very good. We would stay here again if we were back in the area.

Love the attention to recycling and efficiency. Full size bed was small for us but we made it work. Shower head might need to be replaced, room 202. But the room was lovely appointed with vintage art and brass fixtures. A nice stay!

Our thirst stay at Cambridge Inn on Main and it continues to be excellent -- easy access, secure parking, effective air conditioning and a very comfortable stay. We had some disruptive firework noise on July 4th but that wasn't the hotel's fault and would have happened anywhere. Overall a great stay, made even better by the fact that the Strictly Discs (record store) location a few doors down has finally opened.

This is a touchless type of inn. Getting there was easy but road construction on the street in the back made getting into the parking lot difficult. The first night a barrier was placed across the entrance to the back lot and I could not see the first entrance until I got instructions from the owner.
The room was a great size with tall ceiling. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was nicely renovated.
However, in the bedroom the table and chairs were more of a tiled outdoors type and seats were hard. The sofa was beautiful looking but not comfortable with the seat had no spring or support. The TV did not have anything local since it was Roku … streaming which is great for vacation but I was there for business and wanted more local information.
It did take quite awhile for the water in bathroom to heat.
There is an issue with the front door. We were able to unlock using the key from the inside and then lock from the outside. However, locking from the inside did not work. Thankfully the back door had a keypad.
If you are there for a relaxing vacation, this is a really nice place since it’s very convenient to be able to walk around. For a business travelers, better to find lodging in a nearby location with more appropriate accommodation.

Great host great accommodations. Our room was in the middle so it had no windows, which was perfect because it allowed us to do sleep in!

Charming Hotel allows you to feel like you stepped back in time.

Everything was great! A few suggestions would be to have a trash can by the refrigerator, and a foam or rubber trim around the tile in front of the shower as my wife stubbed her toe on it. Thank you!

P.s. we moved the air freshener to the lobby because the fragrance was too strong and triggered my wife's allergies.

Second time we stayed there. Love the rooms, the decor and the great location. Will go back again.

A gem in the Madison area! We travel to Madison often and generally stay at a better grade hotel. This was a solo trip to see family; thought I’d try something new. Was impressed with the renovation and quality of the property; gorgeous sleigh bed, upscale bath, good hvac… the room was well stocked and all had been thought of. A smaller TV (yay, I don’t watch it). Downtown Cambridge is easy and charming. Thank you for the excellent communication and wonderful stay. I’ll be back!

Great room with a B & B atmosphere without the hassle of breakfast. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about no owner on premises, but it worked out fine. Owner is reachable by phone and text. Anf the Inn and the area felt very safe. My room had no windows, which I also wasn't sure I'd like, but that turned out to be great, too. Very quiet. Like going on a victorian retreat. Room had a sitting area and everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the common area, and was a great location for us to visit with family.

Cambridge is a delightful little town. People are very friendly. Nice variety of shops and restaurants. The Cambridge is a historical building with beautiful updated rooms while keeping the integrity of the building. Would definitely come back and stay again.

Great rehab and reuse of classic Main Street storefront. Clear directions for access sent by responsive owners- AND a free mug to remember our trip! My daughter and I had a wonderful overnight stay. Thank you!
