The check-in point at the bar was a nice touch with the complimentary beverages. The bar itself looked exactly like the photos and was quite cozy, though they did run out of our beer of choice during our stay. The community closet containing complimentary items on each floor for hotel guests to utilize was helpful to someone who may have forgotten toothpaste, razor, etc. I did not use the fitness facility; however, it was nicely equipped for someone wanting to maintain their health and fitness efforts by working out while traveling.
The room was quite disappointing as it was much smaller than anticipated by photos. There was no closet, no docking station for luggage, etc. The pegs that were supposed to be utilized for hanging clothes were directly over the television, which would completely obstruct viewing. The room felt like a closet as there was little to no room to move around, and unless you stayed by yourself then you were on top of your traveling buddy. The hotel bar food was unacceptable as it was precooked food heated by oven at the end of the bar vs having a separate food prep kitchen that was sanitary and contained. Furthermore, the hotel was listed as being downtown; however, it was a 33-minute walk to get to what a tourist traveling would consider to be actual downtown. Would definitely NOT choose to stay at this hotel again.
It was so cute, the staff was friendly, and the room was clean!
Nothing
Very trendy and cute, the food at the bar was good. Location was good.
The rooms felt like a combo of an Airbnb bedroom and a cruise ship cabin. Had issues with the WiFi and tv the first night. There is no closet, fridge, or additional seating in the room other than the bed. Check in was awful, it’s just an untrained individual on a laptop by the bar. Took 20 minutes to check in due to a misunderstanding on her part, she was on the phone with a colleague on her cell phone who was guiding her. If it wasn’t close to $500 a night none of this would have bothered me that much.
Cool hotel. Bar and rooftop look out are fun. Deco is very modern.
Room had nothing special. Needs a mini fridge. No parking. Have to valet. Was double charged for room and still getting that worked out.
Very modern, young feel. Open and airy.
Entry and parking a little awkward.
Very loud street-side room on Saturday night midnight to 2:30am with loud street traffic.
Nothing
Food at the bar was cold and prepared in a microwave at least get an oven to melt the cheese for the nachos or a crock pot
It was my first stay in a Moxy hotel, and it exceeded my expectations. The hotel is well-designed, the rooms are small but comfy and practical, and my highlight was the common area on the 6th floor!
Parking was quite expensive for the location.
Very small room and itchy bath towels
Amazing staff, clean room, great amenities!
