Moxy hotels are very interesting in their design, it’s smartly located little bit outside of the center, close to the bridge, the real Charleston isn’t downtown/ king street. Short ride to mount pleasant (wow)
I guess it’s not much about the property, but the area is still in development. And if you’ll try to walk anywhere around, no much of vegetation or shades around, if you’re not used to the head, you’ll suffer a bit
This hotel was really disappointing. Let’s start with the reception and valet service — the staff were not welcoming, didn’t smile, and barely provided any useful information. The neighborhood also felt very unsafe at night, with a large homeless population around the area. Overall, I would not recommend staying here.
The property is neat... the location is great. Nice rooftop bar and patio.
The twin double bed arrangements are weird. Two platform beds, with one side butted up to the wall and the bottoms touching. My wife and I had to sleep on separate beds, as it was hard for a couple to get in and out of the same bed when both were trying to sleep. The room was very small. It would have been a better layout with one queen with enough room to get in and out of each side of the bed.
We absolutely loved it! Everyone from Valet, chrck in and bar was extremely friendly!!! Beautiful esthetics throughout hotel.
Would have loved a small fridge
Not much.
Being charged for parking was not clearly communicated at check in nor when booking. There is no one available to assist with luggage and the heavily touted "downtown " location is nothing to write home about. I shouldnhave stayed in the historic district for the same price.
Quirky, very friendly staff and room and bathroom good. Lovely bar and terrace.
A little too far from downtown area. However it did give us lots of exercise walking into town each day.
Staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful. The
The room. As soon as we entered we wanted to leave. No safe. No coffee/tea machine. No room to move about. No chair. No wardrobe. Absolutely minimal storage space.
In your pursuit of being a trendy hotel you miss the point of being a hotel- ie providing suitable accommodation for guests.
Not much
The locaction was on the edge of the ghetto, the room was a terrible value
The reception room was comfortable .
The room was extremely small and for 2 persons with 4 bags was impossible to move inside the room. No space to put all our clothes. They clean the room every 3 days and also this is not how level of expectation. I guess is my mistake to book this room without checking all this in advance.
It clever
Bar closed as we checked in.
Everything
The hotel was very nice. Loved the rooftop bar. The rooms were a bit different but stylish. Loved the carpet in the hallways. I would suggest you all to put small fridge in the room along with a dresser.
But all in all it was a nice place.
You all need dressers in the room!
nice bar and board games and nice view from deck.
No parking unless you parked on the street where all the homeless were walking or paid for valet parking which is like $30-$40. My room was not ready till 2 hours after check in. The queen beds face each other and very cramped. the toilet would not quite making a running sound and you had to stop it by opening the back of the toilet. the shower drain in our room was disgusting. i mean i could go on. i was so disappointed.
