Classic New England Inn with wonderful views and service. Great hotel bar and drinks on the lawn out front was a highlight. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent.
Great staff wonderful property
Service was excellent! All staff were so friendly and eager to help. Room exactly as described. Small but well appointed. Such a great environment that I wish they also served breakfast.
Simply amazing. Highly recommend
Everything was great. I had a charge that I have to look into, but other than that we had a great experience.
Great view well kept property. Nice place to sit outside have a cocktail and look out over the water. Boasts a high quality restaurant yet did not put out coffee in the morning or have in room coffee service despite the nearest location was fifteen minutes away For avg price of 400 plus per night cannot even put out coffee and a continental breakfast for guests. Please cheap.
Very little aid to a first time visitor to block island. No mention of beach towels; had to ask specifically for key and room number when it wasn't offered after we checked in. Music in bar started at 5am on a Tuesday morning and no one was around to turn it off. Could be heard for hours in our room with no one around to open up the bar and turn it off. No accommodation or apology given. No food or coffee around. Better to stay across the street at Spring House Hotel where you could find a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Beautiful space for drinks on the lawn but that doesn't make up for the very, very laid back nature of everyone who works here.
very nice stay, hard working group, 2 keys to the room would have been nice
Friendly staff
It was great
Loved staying at the Atlantic inn.
Arrived earlier than check-in time (only so many ferries to choose from) and the front desk was kind enough to store our bags until the room was ready, which was a great first impression, as were the stunning views from the porch and lawn. This really is a special location. The room felt fresh and up-do-date, with noticeably modern upgrades to the air conditioning and bath amenities, but also charming in the way that long-lived and well-worn structures are. The same goes for the entry living room which, while small, was pleasantly furnished for a pause to refresh. I can't speak to the restaurant or the bar in terms of service or meals since we had other dining obligations but both spaces seemed inviting. The breakfast, which we opted to add to our booking only one morning, was minimal in its preparation but plentiful in basics, and felt like more than enough to get the day started. I thought it was actually well worth it given the alternative of seeking out a meal in town, but note that the fare is cold (except for the coffee!) We wanted to chance a swim on our last day as the weather was struggling to clear up and warm up so it was great to learn that beach towels are readily available for use since we didn't pack our own. All said, this was an immensely satisfying weekend and I truly enjoyed my stay. Many thanks to the kind and helpful staff for the experience!
The check-in and check-out process felt a bit cramped in the office room, especially as other guests queued up and the luggage began to pile up. Other than that, no real issues!
The location perched on top of the hill overlooking town Harbour and the small farm below was very nice. As long as you’re a walker, you can get around town from this location. My room is a little small even though I knew it was going to be small. It was a little smaller than I expected just navigating around. The bed was a little difficult, but this was the smallest room they offered. Otherwise it’s a very old building and they had a split system AC that cooled and worked wonderful pillows, bedding everything else was great. There was an absolutely amazing restaurant which was unexpected with a great bar and beautiful balcony and patio to dine on.
There wasn’t much I didn’t like about the property other than the coffee service in the morning. The machine was difficult to use. The pods often fell through and if the machine was working properly, it would’ve been good, but it wasn’t and it frustrated many of the visitors there. You gotta give us coffee in the morning. Rooms at the Springhouse hotel, right next-door were less priced and that property more grand. I found 2 bugs in my room that I killed and reported to the front desk.
This property is stunning. One of the statement places on the island. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. We had an issue with our room, they upgraded us for one of the most beautiful rooms, no questions asked!
Exquisite charm, elegant, fun, delightful….shall I go on? The Atlantic Inn a must stay on Block Island.
Beautiful property. Amazing staff. Lovely stay
Over all it was a good and clean place. However, keep it mind there are no elevators and fridage and microwave in the rooms. We booked a suite. It was extremely tight space.
This is a very beautiful hotel and we had a very enjoyable stay.
This is a beautiful place to stay on Block Island. The room (while a bit tiny) was well-appointed with modern facilities and products and all comforts. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the The Atlantic restaurant is excellent.
