Our Four Night Stay
Pros:

Location is good. A bit run down but doable as just about every structure in that area of Santa Cruz is quite dated. The vent fan in the bathroom did not work. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful which made a big difference.

Cons:

Bathroom fan did not work. No elevator and we were upstairs so a bit of a pain.

Nice place for just a day trip
Pros:

The location was very close to the beach but still had to drive. Not bad. The bed and pillow’s were very comfortable. Ice machine worked 🎉

Cons:

Our fridge in the room wouldn’t stay closed so our food and drinks didn’t get cold.

Patience, communication, and attitude go a long way..
Pros:

The "managing" couple went out of their way, (I feel) to make it possible for me to actually stay in the room I booked for the 1 night I had reserved. No thanks to (Bookings. com) for their lack of information when booking said room. My hats off to the "Management"!!! Thank you both so much. I will be staying there if I ever do need a place to stay.

Prices on vending machines. 😂 Other than that, I didn't dislike anything...

Will not book here again.
Cons:

I didnt like the way the staff spoke to my husband and children at check out. He didn't knock on the door before entering the room and demanded more money before it was time to check out stating, "you have to pay more to check out late" *keep in mind this was 20 minutes before scheduled check out* The hallway smelled of marijuana and smoke.

Decent
Pros:

Front desk staff was super nice

Cons:

The price
The location was not walking distance to the boardwalk.
Our hotel window faced bushes, a fence and parking lot.
Young kids were running and yelling up and down the halls throughout our 1st nights stay.

Quiet and Convenient
Pros:

I liked the convenience of the parking. The Inn was super close to the pier and the popular areas to hang out. It was very quiet even though it was completely booked. I wasn't disturbed by anyone or woken up in the middle of the night.

Cons:

The hotel is quiet and clean but a little outdated. There were no bedside lamps so the only light came from the LED overhead lights that were a little harsh. Parking was great! Beds were a little hard.

Worst experience possible
Pros:

Terrible experience. We were called hours before our stay asking for us to pay over the phone. I booked through the app so I went and payed in full on the app. When we arrived they said we had no room, our room was sold because the “charge didn’t go through”the charge did absolutely go through. We had to find a new place to stay and we were said to receive a refund but it’s now 9 days later and the charge has fully processed. The guy was extremely rude and left us stranded at 9pm at night with no where to go. We found a different hotel that was much nicer and kinder
