You can miss it if you’re not paying attention because the area around the hotel isn’t too appealing. But inside was gorgeous. The staff was friendly and attentive. The roof bar was beautiful.

The location is extremely convenient. We particularly loved the accommodating staff and the beautiful interiors.

Our new favorite place to stay in Hollywood! Easy Uber to the Greek. Walkable to shops and restaurants.

I had an excellent stay. The room was very big. The hotel decor is very pleasing to the eye. Each and every staff member i met were all very friendly people. I will definitely stay here again and again.

Great property.. quiet and relaxing

This property definitely lives up to its 5 star reputation, though with a few issues. The staff, layout, decor, and amenities were first rate. I stayed in one of the pool suites, which had a beautiful balcony! And the views from the rooftop and proximity to iconic Capitol Records building are fantastic. On the negative side, other reviewers have commented on the noise levels. I found the ambient noise actually to be quite low, though there is almost constant noise from the outside, whether it’s conversations at the pool several floors below you can hear clearly, the nightclub next door, or the endless things going on from Hollywood Boulevard. One other personal gripe was the valet parking fee. I had a guest visit for a less than 2 hour dinner on a quiet Monday night and the charge was $44. Completely absurd!!!! I know LA parking rates are high, but this a shocker!

The entire staff were all very pleasant, especially the young men at valet and the receptionist.

The grounds and room were very clean. However, the room was extremely noisy and almost impossible to sleep in. I didn’t think to mention it to staff, assuming the noise would lessen as the night went on. But, it continued and only got worse throughout the night and morning. At check out, I was informed the 4th floor was directly under the kitchen which was upsetting- especially since I paid for a room upgrade. Overall, wonderful staff. But the price does not justify the lack of comfort.

AND the area around the hotel has seen considerable improvements in terms of cleanliness; its a pleasure to see.

Gorgeous suite, very friendly staff, centrally located.

The room was spacious, gorgeously furnished, super clean, and comfortable. I understand other reviews about a slightly musty smell in the hallways, but it was gone by morning (maybe a humidity issue?). Staff is very friendly, and the rooftop bar is excellent. I appreciated the attention to detail in providing earplugs, as street noise can get a bit loud at night.

No notice where breakfast was served, door jammed in room bath, noisy.

Comfortable hotel with a nice vibe, but there were a few things that missed on expectations for a 5-star hotel rated so highly on hotels.com.

Staff at check-in was overly forward, preemptively trying to upsell us on a room because we would have noise issues and making fun of a guest's name.

Our shower was backed up when we checked in. I called to have it fixed, and I think they sent someone but it was not fixed by the time we checked out. We had to take short showers in a couple inches of water. No accommodations for this gross issue; just a "sorry that happened" while we checked out.

There was noise from the venue next door but I saw that in the reviews when booking. If that bothers you book a courtyard room.
