Overall a great place to stay, but be careful selecting the placement of room.
Pros:

The location was great, and everything seemed very new, fresh, and clean. We particularly enjoyed the pool and hot tub area, with the adjacent patios looking out on Cloudcroft's scenery. Staff was also very friendly and informative.

Cons:

Our room was directly above the spa / hot tub area, which meant it was rather loud, and never felt particularly cool no matter what we did with the air conditioning. Between the noise and the temperature / humidity caused by the pool area it made it difficult to sleep.

The hotel is clean and cozy.
There is a brewery across from the hotel; we had dinner there, and it was very good.
I would definitely return !

Pros:

Very nice and pleasant setting. Good location. Nice outdoors seating area.

Cons:

The pool was much smaller than it appears in the photos, which was disappointing. It also had a very strong chlorine smell.

Recent spring break stay
Pros:

My daughter loved the indoor pool and ping pong table. I liked the friendly staff and lighting of facility making it easy to find.

Cons:

I was a little uncomfortable on the bed, maybe due to the pillows but that can possibly just be me. Fire place was never lit but again I didnt ask.
