Disappointing Visit to Florida

The location was convenient.

Cons:

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding our recent stay. We encountered unprofessional behavior from the front desk manager Stacy, and the housekeeping service was unacceptably poor. Despite our requests, our room was rarely cleaned.

When we followed up, a housekeeping staff member complained about the workload and 'guest complaints,' seemingly confusing our group with someone else. This lack of service and defensive attitude is not what we expected. Traveling 1,173 miles to another state to be mistreated is unimaginable.

There were weird individuals loitering around the area smoking making it uncomfortable.

Clean hotel and decent value on paper, but the isolated location, poor breakfast, and disappointing
Pros:

The hotel is clean, appears recently renovated, and the rooms are fairly quiet thanks to decent soundproofing. Free parking is also a nice plus, especially in Florida, and the price is relatively reasonable.

Cons:

The biggest problem is the location. It is very isolated, about 20 minutes from the nearest highway, so getting to the beach or almost anywhere else takes 40–45 minutes each way. Breakfast was also disappointing: poor quality, unhealthy, and exactly the same every day. Service was weak as well. Housekeeping was only every two days, which was not clearly communicated, and it was not even done on the scheduled day.

Room was nice and clean on arrival.

Cons:

Booking.com said on their website that there were no extra fees for pets. I added a request saying that I was bringing my two small dogs and got confirmation that it was ok. When I checked in I got charged $150 for the dogs. No communication between the hotel and Booking.com. Hotel manager did not speak English well and said I was wrong and I should contact Booking.com for them to fix the website. That is her job not mine.

The cleaned the rooms at 6-7 pm when I am back in the room and didn't want to be bothered, so my room was never cleaned because of their schedule.

Good location, good service, good overnight stay.
Pros:

The hotel staff were excellent. The cleanliness in the lobby, gym, pool area, breakfast area, and room was amazing. The location is also nice, it’s calm at night and it’s close to the Amerant Bank. I have no complaints I enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
