So this seems to be a work in progress. It's an old "country strip mall" that is getting turned into a resort? Just a few rooms, that look like new. But the road noise is loud and the walls are thin. Plus the shower curtain doesn't go to the floor in the big stone shower, so it just sprays all over the floor. The grounds look dilapidated besides the rooms. Location near Lassen was key.

Don’t let the building scare you, it’s a work in progress, rooms were nice and freshly remodeled, decent bathroom, they are working on the dinning area / bar to be ready in future- decent place, kind of expensive for what it is, but so is the area…

Property needs updating. Very isolated.

We were assigned room 1. Single-pane window, 35 feet from the highway. Not much sleep the 3 nights we stayed. There was a light on just outside the window and the curtains did not cover the window; could not get the room dark. The hallway is an echo chamber and our room door was not weather-stripped, so all noise was easily heard. The front door did not have a retractable arm at the top that would close an open door and people would just throw the door closed and it would slam shut all hours of the day and night. If you are hard of hearing or deaf, I would say this is the room for you. If you are a light sleeper, I would make a suggestion to management to not assign you this room. Luckily temps had cooled and didn't need to use air. Good thing because 4 mini-split condensors just outside the single-pane window.

This property was a pleasant surprise. It isn't easy to find a place to stay near the south entrance to Lassen Volcanic NP, and we were happy to find this. It is easy to locate on the highway, but it becomes clear pretty quickly that the overall property still has construction going on. The rooms, however, are very nice - clean, efficient, and the bathroom was exceptionally well done! We had a good 2 night stay. Be sure to watch for an email in advance - you need a code to access the room. I missed the message initially, it came 7 days in advance when I was traveling and not watching email closely, and there was no second message closer to check in. We definitely enjoyed our time here.

From the highway, the appearance isn’t good, but the room is great and the view is beautiful! Love the creek and picnic area out back!

Easy access, owner’s responded immediately to any questions. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean, roomy and well lit. Room was nicely decorated and spacious, even had a large walk in closet with plenty of room to store our suitcases. Owners are super nice people!

Was so peaceful and relaxing!

Great stay near lassen volcanic park and Lake Almanor. Well appointed and easy to access. We recommend staying here when in the area.

The room is pretty awesome so far, easy parking, great instructions for getting to our room, and the bathroom is nice.

When we first arrived, we noticed there was a cricket moving on the floor. We took a picture, killed the cricket, and called to the manager. The manager said someone will come to take care of it, so we left the room for hiking. When we came back at 9 pm, there are countless ants on the floor, moving every where especially near the bed. We immediately reported to the manager, and the manager told us they were unable to find the cricket in the afternoon, was unable to change the room as they are fully booked, and not sure where the ants came from. The manager said he will have someone vacuum the room soon, and after one hour of waiting, someone finally come. However, these are surface treatment. They left the vacuum to us, but no matter how many times we vacuum the place, there are still ants on the floor. After we woke up in the morning, more ants are around the bed frame area. We told the manager and did not get any response. All the manager did was just trying to cover things up. I don't know who will be living there later on but I doubt they will do any proper treatment before letting anyone staying there. They just try to cover up as much as possible

Pros; Good room, view and owner.
Cons: Road is a bit noisy and curtain doesn't close tight, no big issues unless you sleep light.
