Blue Water Beachfront Hotel & Waterpark

we took a girls trip and stayed here. the place was pretty clean except the outside of the room doors. it is really close to shopping and restaurants. we loved that we could see the bridge from the beach and there's fire pits to have fires on the beach! overall it was a great experience and we will definitely come back to this hotel!

First room had mold on the wall second room had a dirty microwave and refrigerator. The balcony had cigarette buts and a beer can. Tv was disconected from cable. Reconnected it to find out batteries wete dead in the remote. Went to call the office and the phone cord was disconnected couldnt plug it in because it was the wrong cord it didnt fit.

Clean room. The front desk young lady was so nice and helpful. All over great experience

Checked in quite late and staff was friendly. Wasn’t shown what building our room was in, so we wandered around until we found it. Room didn’t look like it had been occupied for a while. Turned on the A/C and a bunch of bugs flew out. There were cobwebs in the corners of most walls/ceilings. There was a very large garden spider living in the sink drain, web and all. The sink was dirty and the toilet seat wasn’t cleaned. This was a room that has not been updated unlike their water view rooms and it definitely needs an update. We thought the shower rod was going to fall off the wall, so because of that and the bugs we decided not to take showers. It was nice that we could leave our car there while we went to Mackinac Island for the morning.

Could see the outside through the front door all the way around. Front door didn't feel very secure. No outside lighting through the stairwell which could be very dangerous when on the 2 nd floor. TV didn't work and neither did their phone.

I had such a great stay at the Blue Water Beachfront Hotel. The view from the room was absolutely stunning — you can literally step outside and be right on the beach. Everything was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive.

It’s the perfect mix of peaceful and convenient — close enough to St. Ignace and Mackinaw City for exploring, but tucked away enough to feel like your own private getaway. My favorite part was waking up early and watching the sunrise over the water — it was absolutely breathtaking and worth every minute of sleep lost.

I’d definitely stay here again — it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe, and just enjoy being up north. 🌅

Everyone was super friendly. Our room was in the midst of an update. The wood on the walls still needed sealed, but overall was clean. The bathroom floor did need a good scrubbing but there were no bugs or spiders anywhere. The balcony was beautiful (the screen was really torn up on the screen door but didn’t take away from the beauty outside) We would totally stay here again. It was beautiful and a perfect location. Not within walking distance from downtown-but a shuttle to the ferry was readily available and it was nice to be a little way as way from the hustle & bustle of downtown. The beach is private (for the hotel guests only) which is wonderful as well. It was so peaceful and serene.

Nice view from room balcony is the bonus . Room ok dirty hair in shower. Used coffee pak in coffee maker in room . Dirty outside. Room looked remodeled but no light switch lol seriously true ! There was a plate over where switch shoulda been. Dropped something behind tv bumped wires lights turned on !! So family safe up too you! Beautiful view from balcony bout it .

Beautiful place to stay

The place and the staff are really nice. I would stay there again.

My daughter and I were just passing through, which made it a very quick stay. It was clean, comfortable, and felt safe

The only thing this place has going for it is the view of the water & location. Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Key cards for the room quit working after the lobby was closed. We had to go to the hotel next door to be let into our room. The front desk person over there was very upset at us for this. Dead bugs everywhere, beds were broken & uncomfortable, the floors were filthy to the point my feet were black on the bottom, air conditioner was loud & barely worked, the screen to the balcony is broken & the screen is torn, all of the outlets are loose & nothing will stay plugged in, wifi never worked. The 2nd night of staying we were woken up at 1:30 in the morning by a truck stuck on the beach outside our balcony. We called the front desk twice, nothing was ever done. The only thing this place had going for it was the view of the water. Until of course this truck got stuck.

Lots…. And LOTS of noise until 3:00am. Like a Frat house party and floor/ceiling noise. Loud talking …. Idiot driving on beach getting stuck in front of our room.

My wife and I stayed here, great location to the stores and restaurants in the area.

Room was not at all clean and there was hair clogs and cigarette remainings on the floor.

Dirty washcloth hanging in room when we checked in, floor was absolutely disgusting. Pool house was closed. Staff was absolutely wonderful kind and helpful. Place was pretty empty so to put someone above us was unnecessary, they were so very loud. Updated room was nice, gave a cabin feel. View was spectacular. Mixed feelings on this place. We visit different cities for our anniversary each year.
