If you are expecting 5-star luxuary this is not for you. We were pleasantly surprised at how neat and clean it was...and the bed was fabulous. The host and cleaning lady were super nice nd accomodating. No hot breakfast but we had a microwave and fridge...also a hair dryer. Finding a phone number to talk to a real person was difficult. The outside has been recently replaced. But the inside is old, but clean. The shower was great and water was hot. The walk from the Amtrak station was about 1/8 mile. You must cross under the train tracks which was difficult at night due to sidewalk construction near the station which they were presently completing. It should be fine now. Restaurants were less than 5 minutes away on foot. All the side streets in the town were wide and graded dirt. So pulling a wheeled suitcase takes a little more care. Some may not like it, but we loved it!
It was small town motel. Simple, met our needs.
Though they did have our reservation, but accommodated our request.
Very unique place outside of Glacier East / St Mary Entrance. We enjoyed our stay here very much!
WiFi did not work. There was no air conditioning or heat in room. Was given a fan and a heater. Water pressure very poor. Was very disappointed for the money we spent to stay there
Check-in was ridiculously convoluted and confusing. The area was super sketchy and the room was dirty. Definitely pass this one by when looking for accommodation.
Nice staff, knowledgeable, great recommendations for dinner. great location, dirty carpet, 2 plugs in room don’t work, terrible wifi, no cups for coffee. dirty fan . Dirt roads , & bed linens questionable. Walls thin, easily hear people coughing 2 rooms away.
Price was low relative to other properties - East Glacier. Not all plugs and lights worked. Street parking was safer than by the room. Close to a few restaurants and Glacier NP entrance on east side. Staff was friendly and helpful.
no house keeping services, the breakfast that was offered was sub par as juice & granola bars was served on a table outside of rooms in corridor.
I would not stay here again.
It was a dump. but for 150.00 a night what do you expect!
When I arrived, nobody was on site to let me in. None of the phone numbers worked (the one listed on expedia is someone who has nothing to do with this place at all). Nothing in the booking said anything about letting people know if I was arriving late, but this left me stranded in a foreign country. If it weren't for the kindness of strangers, I don't know what I would have done. The next day, I was let into my room. The sheets, sink and toilet were the only clean things in the room. I don't think that floor has EVER been vacuumed. I heard through the grapevine that the owner overbooked multiple people and left others stranded as well. The locals didn't have much nice to say about this person either. It's wild and very wrong that the expedia listing is tied to someone who doesn't even live there, can't help, etc. Expedia needs to fix that ASAP, they should probably remove this listing all together, as it's unsafe, feels like not even a real business, unclean, etc. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
THERE WAS NO ROOM. They did not honor our reservation.
Good budget stop on a motorcycle trip. A couple of excellent restaurants within walking distance. While the hotel is fine for its purpose, the surrounding neighborhood is rather dodgy looking. Once you get past that, it was a good place to stay overnight.
I would not recomend it
I would give a zero rating if possible! The property appeared rundown when we pulled up, though we were tired from travel and not terribly picky. We entered a dingy looking office area. We had passed a lady outside who was smoking and did not acknowledge us. After a moment waiting in the office, the lady came in and asked if she could help us. I said we were there to check in, and she promptly said there were no rooms available. I said we had a reservation, to which she rudely said the rooms are given away first come, first serve. I asked what the point of a reservation is, and she shrugged. We had our camping gear, so I asked if there was anywhere nearby to camp. She said no, but we might find a room in Browning or one of the other small towns. She handed me a paper with the number for the manager in case I needed to contact them for my refund. I could tell she considered the conversation over. Part of me felt thankful we weren't staying, as I feared what the room might be like based on the general look of the place, however, my daughter and I needed a place to sleep.
We stopped in to the Circle R motel down the street, even though it said "No Vacancy", I hoped they would be more helpful. The guy at the counter was very pleasant. When I told him what happened, he said they had four other people that evening with the same problem! Thankfully they also have a property nearby with cabins and RV spaces. He said we could set up our tent there, and charged me just $10 for a site.
Reservation was not honored……room was given to someone else!
The place is the cheapest in the area for a good reason. Owner has another place nearby, they did not honor a reservation made, paid, and confirmed 2 months ago, so we spent 3 hours beginning 8 pm to call places in the area so we did not have to sleep in the car.
Not impressed. After driving from west Yellowstone to east glacier, we arrive and are told “ we gave away your room”
So the clerk offered a single bed for 2 men. Really? We said that will not work
Then she offered a second single bed
Room in a different building. This way we had 2 rooms
I went into my room. No reception on the TV!
Also no internet
The other room had issues with the shower
Both rooms the shampoo dispensers were empty.
In my room there was a coffee maker with a Styreofoam cup with coffee grinds but no filter. Really?!
Never again
Parking was poor. There was construction going on near by, so the area was filled with workers stuff and trailers.
This was a Wonderful little place to stay a couple nights ! Clean and OH so Homey !! Got extra towel, big ones !! The Parking is Way too Cramped, but it worked !! Great food a block away.
