Loved the hotels BMW that would drive you to where you wanted to go. Friendly driver and great to not have to find parking in the city.
Room was well designed with all the creature comforts and was clean and cozy.
Loved that the bakery my daughter wanted me to get her biscuits was right next door. They were yummy.
It was a nice touch to have the desk person escort you to your room and give you the layout of things. Felt strange at first, but appreciated. Also that same woman looked up places where I could find onion soup and lobster bisque. They also communicate with the guest through text. There are no phones in the rooms.
Paying $45 for parking, but it is the city.
Having to ask for creamer for the coffee in the room, also the French press coffee wasn’t the best coffee but that could have been operator error.
Loved that they had free carafe of water, and big bottles of shampoo and conditioner but they don’t recycle. No bins for that, but that might be a Maine thing.
Honestly, I couldn’t find anything to complain about. Everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly attentive, warm, and professional throughout my stay.
Quiet and peaceful. Clean
Parking
I like the cleanliness, style and the price point.
There is no phone to contact the front desk and I tired calling many times from my cell to call for valet and no one answered the phones. Also, there was blowing air directly on me in bed which dried me out tremendously as I tried to sleep.
I liked the room, staff and location. I wish parking was complementary but understand this is a city location. I loved the restaurant accross the street, vintage stores nearby and I needed the post office so that was a bonus to be in walking distance.
Lack of showers in the spa and the lack of flexibility for me to shower in my room after was annoying. I also overheard another guest request a lugguage cart. This time I was traveling light but I we are a family of 5 so a lugguage cart is key when I usually travel.
The bar area location, the cozy, thoughtful feel that they provided in each room with personal robes variety of teas, and across from several coffee and breakfast options
The only thing was a pool
I know it had a spa. Our visit was short and we had a lot to see but next time we will come back and take advantage of the spa.
Unfortunately we didn't get to try it.
Great place! Lovely people and good rooms, especially if you can get a tub! The spa is a great addition too - we come all the time!
great
valet guys didnt realize i was waiting outside. stood chit chatting with eachother while waited in the rain.
The warmth, comfort and hospitality.
Nothing.
If you like a smaller but very charming, comfy, and welcoming boutique this be for you. Feel like you are part of the neighborhood. Good size room, with comfy bed and nice rainfall shower with nice space.
Great boutique hotel in Portland. My spouse uses a walker or wheelchair and she was able to get around fine. We were in an ADA compliant room and there was adequate space to maneuver around. Walk in shower was nice as well. We grabbed some light dinner and a drink downstairs and ate in one night. Limited food selection but it was well prepared and tasty. Staff was very attentive and courteous. Will come back!
A true 10/10 hospitality experience! Will absolutely return for another stay! The location was great and having the option of using their town car was so convenient!
Le lieu et la qualité du service
Un peu excentré
Terrific service and a tasteful very comfortable base to explore Portland. A great bar and fancy hotel car to get back to the hotel after dinner! Also really fun places for coffee next to hotel.
We loved the location and boutique size of the hotel. The employee assisting us with check in was so pleasant and so helpful!
She gave us a short tour of the layout and amenities before showing us to our room and making sure we knew the best way to contact staff for any needs during our stay—really appreciated this!
It was great to have a quaint bar and cafe in the hotel as well which we really enjoyed!!
Our stay at the Longfellow was perfect! From check-in to check-out, the staff was so kind and efficient! Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Our coffee, lunches, and snacks were delicious. The lobby was calm and relaxing, and a great place to hang out after a day of sight-seeing. We’ll definitely be back!
