Hotel Palomino

Extremely difficult to set up booking; high price for quality of room. No receptionist, no pool no hot water in sink, no breakfast,good coffee. Isolating experience; no charm, vaguely tacky.

Cute little spot. I like not having to check in at front desk. Food is close. Good stop before Telluride.

We just came for a night to go to Orvis Hotsprings. We booked the room with the hotsprings package. It was perfect. The hotel is kitschy and smartly done. Feels like a special little spot to stay. The room was comfortable and well appointed. We highly recommend for a get away. Well done to the owners.

Imagine a nation of magic and stay at the Palomino. I felt my spirit alive and kindly welcome. Charmingly easy to book online yet very well kept by caring human beings. Thank you staff for keeping the light on when we need a place to rest a bit. I found the Palomino abundance!

Our accommodation was roomy, well appointed, quiet, toasty warm and in a very convenient location.
The morning we left, it had snowed over night, and the walkway was freshly shoveled.

Such a cute hotel! We stayed for two days and loved it. Lots of space, the rooms are bright and new, and it’s quiet at night. We couldn’t find anything in Ouray that looked fun and we’re so glad we found this spot. Loved and will be back!

We love everything about this cute boutique hotel! Everything was so new, clean, and aesthetically pleasing, and having a small common area to heat up our food and get water was a plus! The location was also optimal in being able to access Ouray and Telluride. It was a last minute booking, and the value was exceptional! Another plus was Greenwoods restaurant. Their food felt like we were eating at a high end restaurant in the middle of nowhere! We highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back!

Our stay wasn't pleasant with difficulties getting into the room with incorrect digital entry code. Then a neighboring smoke detector was going off for hours (in error.)

There is no staff on site and when you call you get voicemail saying staff aren't on duty all the time. When I reached someone she was rude. It would be ok if you don't have a problem but good luck if you do.

Overpriced given lack of services or amenities.

The no-staff approach doesn't work for guests. Won't be back!

This was the absolute cutest spot in a convenient location to Ouray and Telluride. The layout of the rooms is like an old western town and the room itself had so many cute touches not to mention a comfy bed and affordable. Would absolutely stay here again!
