Super fun mid-entury retro vibe hotel in great location. I would stay again.
Pros:

Great location, good value and very unique in a good way. A remodeled mid-century kitschy style motel with a retro vibe.Spacious, colorful guest rooms, vibrant decor, and normally there is a hip airstream food truck on site but was not available the weekend we were there but given it was Thanksgiving weekend it's understandable. Located across the street from UVA.

Cons:

The only thing that wold make it better is to have a microwave in the room. But there is a frig and record player with albums. They do not have dedicated parking lot but there is free street parking across the street.

Cute hotel in central location of town but close to train. I would stay again!
Pros:

The location was walking distance to campus and lots of restaurants. The décor was really cute and the noise cancelling machine was a plus!

Cons:

The trains rumbling through multiple times in the middle of the night was not something I expected! Hence, the bonus of the noise cancelling machine :)

Close the the University but very noisy and overpriced.
Pros:

Fun, kitschy vibe

Cons:

It’s a motel labeled as a hotel. Exterior doors, few facilities. Noisy train tracks are right up against the property. We did not see good value for what we paid.

Great location. Fun hotel to experience.
Pros:

Very cute motel with a fun concept. Great location a couple of blocks off campus and basically right at “The Corner.” Plenty of places to walk and explore. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Our key cards stopped working twice. Not a big deal, but it was inconvenient and took a little to get replacements both times as the system wasn’t cooperating. I had also discounted the reviews talking about the train, but it was for real. The train went through a few times each night, and a couple of the times it shook the room and we didn’t think there was an end. They do offer masks and earplugs, which is nice. Again, not that big of a deal.

Great location
Pros:

The Little Mod Hotel is in a great location, although when UVA is in full swing, it could be noisy-- potentially. We were there right after Thanksgiving just for a night. Many restaurants and stores were not open, but the campus is very near, and we had a lovely walk through it. The Rotunda was open to visitors and we also looked carefully at the enslaved worker memorial.

Cons:

The hotel which has great 1960s and 1970s decor has a nice vibe and friendly staff but again, due to our timing, almost no one was there. The food truck that sits in the small hotel parking lot only opened for breakfast due to the holiday and it was too late for us.

Pros:

Location close of UVA

Cons:

Visitors should take into account that this is more of a motel. The rooms have doors that opens to an exterior corridor. When I arrived in the night in November, the room was freezing and the room heated only after a couple of hours. The reception is not occupied full time.

Super cute and totally wonderful, would stay again
Pros:

Was a lovely motel to stay in for my birthday. Loved the setup of the room, the shower tile and the comfy beds of course. Listened to the records and had a wonderful night. Perfect for a night downtown in Cville.

Cons:

Wish it wasn't so close to the train tracks. If you're a light sleeper this isn't the place to stay. Also wish the chairs we a bit sturdier and a bit bigger but it was fine.

So convenient to visit our student at UVA
Pros:

Close to everything at UVA. Cute decor and very clean.

Cons:

Some surrounding neighborhood noise, but that's to be expected in a college town.

Good place central to UVA
Pros:

I was looking for a place not too far from the train station since I was traveling with just my backpack and wanted something walking distance. It's also right by the Corner and not too far from the Downtown Mall so it's pretty central to everything which is great. The room also had some personality; they've got some great things like a record player and records in the rooms if that's your thing, and the color scheme is livelier than your basic hotel room. They also put me in touch with a local laundry service that came to the hotel and picked up my clothes (good service but expensive!). I also left my laptop charger in my room like a doofus and they were kind enough to mail it back to me.

Cons:

The drain in my shower was clogged and I had to fuss with it to get the water to go down. Not my favorite thing to do and I could've called them to come deal with it but it only took a minute. Also bear in mind that if you're staying there close to a weekend, you are near the Corner and you absolutely will hear all the partying that UVA is famous for into the late hours.
