The motel Was very close to the beach, which was excellent. But it is very rundown. The rug in the room is very dirty And the beds were not very comfortable. We never saw a maid for the four days we were there, Not sure why we would see them around, but they never came to our room. When I ask for towels, they were supposedly brought, and left outside our room And we found them the next day on a different floor Outside someone else’s room. It was Not a cheap room so I expected a little bit more

Easy check-in, clean room with comfy pillows. The pool was lovely and well maintained. It’s so close to the boardwalk, you can’t do better! I stored my e-bike in my car behind the hotel and it was still there in the morning, which is a huge plus! For breakfast I walked a few blocks away to Hooked on Breakfast which was excellent.

The Tahiti Inn was previously family owned. Recently taken over by Eclat Investors Corporation. 801 Asbury Ave. Suite 601 Ocean City NJ. We have rented an apartment there for the past 13 years. Our recent September 2025 stay was a huge disappointment! This corporation decided to falsely advertise the Tahiti Inn under Oceans Edge Luxury Apartments. They increased their prices from $200 a night to $500 a night. They described and showed inaccurately renovations and amenities.
The Trip Advisor 2025 Consumer Complaint Reviews are 100% accurate. The removal of all bureaus, TVs not working, no poles to hang clothes, lack of maintenance and cleaning staff, no storage space for clothes, limited to no kitchen utensils and supplies, no toilet paper holder, no broom and pan, no living room chairs, etc.
In addition we encountered ants in a closet, dead bed bugs on two of the beds, hanging electrical wire in the kitchen, entrance hallway light was out creating a dark, unsafe area leading to street traffic, had to bring in plastic chairs from the patio to replace the living and dining chairs they removed, the pool was closed by Ocean County for Health Issues.
Reported these issues to Heather at the front desk. Nothing done. She indicated to us, that the maintenance and cleaning staff were essentially non existent. She had limited contact with the new owners, as her dealings with them have been negative. At one point they fired her and then brought her back. They are giving her until this October to move out of the on premises apartment that the previous owners allowed her to live in.
We use to stay 14 days for the same amount we paid for 5 days. The most important thing, is that all these negative issues did not exist under the previous family owners.
The only thing Eclat Investors couldn’t ruin is the Tahiti Inns location to the beach and boardwalk. This is not enough to cancel out the many negative issues!!!!11

Great location

The location and the price

The place was a great value. Inexpensive but you get what you pay for. Room looked like it has not been updated since 1960. Very clean room. Staff were friendly.

My family has stayed here for over 60 year. Myself the last 10 years.when we arrived
This year the pool was shut done my the city. Saying unsafe and unsanitary. We were not told about it. They don’t clean your room anymore, make your bad give you clean tows. When asked they said they don’t do that anymore this is on the beach so our room was full of sand not even a rug to wipe our feet. We stayed for 3 night and had to ask for clean towels, toilet paper. What used to be an amazing little CLEAN place is now more.

Nice. Being so close to boardwalk, was very nice.
The only thing was the bathroom light was so noisey. Other wise was fine.

We had an apartment for 2 nights. The facility was a huge disappointment . Tahiti's webpage showed an attractive apartment. What we got was far from it. The bedrooms had no bureaus for clothes, closets had no poles to hang clothes, promised kitchen items .. paper towels, dish clothes, dishwasher detergent ... never showed up. The apartment was recently remodeled but the quality of the workmanship was shoddy and amateurish. I contacted Tahiti requesting recompense for what we did not get and they never responded. The cost of the accommodations is too, too high. Do not waste your money.

This property is right off the boardwalk

It was close to the board walk of Ocean City, NJ. There was plenty of hot water for showering. There were many restaurants nearby for all three meals.
