This hotel blows all of the other Grand Forks hotels out of the water. So glad I found it for when we visit my daughter at UND. I actually look forward to the 11 hour drive to ND because I know I'm going to the Olive Ann.

Has come down a notch since Marriott took over. Pros: The staff is still excellent. The design is well done. Problems: A persistent propane gas smell in the lobby that is known but not fixed. Our room was a suite adjacent to a housekeeping storage room and the fitness center. Both days at 630am for at least a half hour straight we were awoken by the slamming doors - dozens of times. Perhaps it was shift change or early birds going to workout or our neighbor. Or all three. It was a terrible way to wake up both days. The shower tile had holes and many anchors showing where something had been removed. Disappointed.

Property is in superb condition, aesthetically appealing, and the staff (all of them) are kind and helpful. I loved having access to bicycles for getting around town. The location is excellent, central to most attractions in this wonderful town.
