Shady Cliff Resort

Our Unit was VERY dated....the sheets had good size holes in them, we were there a full week and NEVER had housekeeping ask if we needed any thing, I had to hunt them down for more towels, no sign to put out to ask if the room needed cleaning, it was like a ghost town. The air conditioner was LOUD and the entire property was dated. Definately needs some attention. Comforter on top of the bed was so old, the stuffing inside was clumped up in various large balls, I looked in other rooms through the windows and they did not look like ours.

I just feel for the price, it was a bit of a let down. I understand it is waterfront property, but it is in desperate need of an update.

Beds were comterable but service was lacking was offered free ice but no one was around to get it when we needed it.
Realize this was consider off season,but resturant had hours that didn't match our schedule and no one to talk to except online. It was a beautiful spot, might try again when in area again.

Terrible!! Dirty!

It was clean. Beds ok. Booking said there’d be a breakfast but restaurant was closed. Had to find a town with one. Challenging especially on a Sunday. Wasn’t horrible, but wouldn’t go back.

Great place to stay. Room was clean and the view of the lake on the back deck is awesome. Owners are extremely nice.

They allowed us to check in before checkin time, and out before check out time. The beds were clean and comfortable. The rooms were spotless, the view was amazing. Cant wait to go back when it warms up and is busy.

Restaurant was very good.

Our stay was great. The place is relatively poorly run. Check in is akward because you basically have to walk into the restaurant and ask for someone and about half the tine no one os there. The deck area between the lodge and the lake was peaceful, but there were a ton of cigarette butts on the ground.

Beautiful place

We arrived for one night with our 2 dogs. Nice clean room right on the lake. The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to make it enjoyable.

The stay was fine except we would appreciate clean towels
each day.

Quiet, peaceful and felt safe.

My air unit was very loud! It would shut off and rattle and roar back on every 20 minutes.

Great Family run Lake resort . Going through some growing pains since owners have been there only a year and had some surprises. Staff in restaurant are not seasoned due to age and experience. located in very rural area so the pool to hire staff is limited for hospitality industry. All the staff was very friendly and courteous. Food was good and priced well. I will go back when in the area again.

In the beginning a very accommodating place, first night no issues although confusing on where to go to check in. 2nd night they are clearly under staffed for any sort of dinner rush. My family sat at table for 20 mins and saw no server even for water. Walked back to room tried to place Togo order, no one answering phone. Walked back over and gave my order to girl at front desk. A little after 8pm I call to check on my order and they had no record of it and told me kitchen was closed. I asked for manager and told her the whole story, she apologized and rounded up some bbq sandwiches and fries, finally got that a lil before 9pm. That scenario really tainted my stay but I do appreciate they still tried to make up for it. My suggestion is if that short staffed condense your menu or only seat so many at a time. Otherwise rustic lodge was nice and clean.

A very lovely setting overlooking the lake. Peaceful and relaxing. The room-though dated- was clean and quiet.

This was my fourth day at the resort, accommodations were excellent but went to the restaurant and I don't know what's happened but the food wasn't good I got the sliders and it was like a Frozen patty that tasted like an old steer. The last time i ate was excellent.. definitely will be back for the accommodations I think I'll hold off on the restaurant though

Owner is very nice, rooms are small and not good for a long stay or a family. There are also no chairs in the rooms.
