Upset about hidden fees

After booking and paying in full there was added fees from Avid daily but no explanation. No damages were done as they were just charging daily fees even though I paid in full with booking.c

I really like the avid properties and will continue to stay at them when possible.
Pros:

Check in staff was very friendly, detailed and accommodating, the property was very clean. The breakfast which is similar to many chains (scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes) and unlike many chains, was very fresh and the staff seemed to be diligent to keep the steam tray contents refilled and fresh. I like the coffee machine that grinds, brews and dispenses your coffee to order.

Cons:

For the price point, I don't have any complaints.

Our stay at the Avid Hotel in North Platte was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had. After a 12-hour drive, we were exhausted and looking forward to a clean, comfortable room. Instead, we walked into a hotel that was shockingly dirty.
The floors had visible dirt and dust, there were fingerprints all over the mirrors and doors, and the sheets and pillowcases didn't appear to be clean. They even had an unpleasant smell, which made it difficult to feel comfortable sleeping in the bed.
The bathroom was no better. There was hair throughout the shower, and the body wash dispenser was empty, showing a clear lack of attention to even the most basic housekeeping responsibilities.
Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness wasn't limited to our room. The elevators were covered in dust, grime, and fingerprints, and the hallways looked just as neglected. The entire property gave the impression that cleaning and maintenance are not a priority.
After spending 12 hours on the road, this was the last thing we expected. A hotel's most basic responsibility is to provide a clean place for guests to rest, and this property failed on every level. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to anyone expecting even basic standards of cleanliness.

Pros:

Very, very basic hotel. A lot of money for nowhere Nebraska. Staff were very gracious and kind. It felt like staying in a Motel 6.
