We were looking out a bay window into a huge tree! Unusual to have both a bay window AND the tree. We chose it for its proximity to SFMOMA, and we appreciated the ability to leave our luggage there both before we checked in and after we checked out.
I enjoy the emblems and design the room is very relaxing near and clean the staff are accommodating even for late guest safety comfort and security is a wonderful combination for female solo travelers ! A ten for safety !
None excellent location
The location was good
The room has no refrigerator, or a microwave. It would’ve been nice to have it. The breakfast was not what I had expected it to be!

Clean great for the price
Kind of sketchy area
This has become our favorite place to stay in San Francisco, partly because the rooms are lovely and unique (every room has its own name and wallpaper) and the price is good for SF, but also because the staff is great. On this trip, I accidentally left my hearing aids in our room and Erika bent over backwards to help me get it Fed-Exed to my home, so she was exceptional. But every time we've stayed here the staff--both front desk and maintenance-- have been friendly and accommodating.
Love staying at Hotel Fiona! Cute decor, quiet and safe for the location. Staff is friendly and accommodating, will continue to stay here when visiting San Francisco!
Front desk representative was super kind and friendly I initially had only one complaint about the room and that was that there was no fridge (tbh I was mostly just hangry at the time) and when I said that on the hotels.com check in survey they sent a mini fridge right up which was a very nice surprise. All the rooms are named after famous people from San Francisco’s history and the location is perfectly close to everything.
The hotel its self is adorable, boutique feel within the heart of downtown SoMa. The front desk is one person at a small desk in the lobby - answering phones and greeting guest. Patience is key here! The rooms themselves are small but well decorated with fun art and wallpaper. The bed is very comfortable and black out curtains ideal to catch some zzz’s. We did not check out any of the amenities while there.
Excellent 10/10 customer service by Nathan & Sam! Both of them went way and beyond & made our stay both at Hotel Fiona & Hotel Soma so special! So great that we plan to return next year with a large group of friends! They are both a true asset to your hotels! Thank you Nathan & Sam!

The property is old, parking garage is tight. Not sure the cleaninglinessof the room, bathroom is small. Location is a few blocks next to zoombie land, I don’t think it’s the hotel’s fault that the surrounding becomes what it is, just be careful when you go out.
We had a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. Wonderful to have access to a reasonably priced parking garage.
Recommend to park within the hotel lot. Staff are friendly and the room was clean.
AC isn’t cold. Couldn’t sleep well even open the windows . Check out at 4.30 AM. The hotel provides refund $20 convenient fee and 50% parking fee.
No refund for 1 night stay.
I stayed here previously in January and I had an amazing stay. The receptionist was so sweet and upbeat. I wish I could say the same this time around.
We came for my birthday so I was quite excited but the hotel was subpar. They began charging for parking without notifying me and they have a mandatory $20 fee a day so I was charged a little over $100 in total for a two day stay on top of what I already paid. Beware of hidden fees!
Overall, this place is overpriced and underwhelming.
It was a great stay, amazing city view! Bed was super comfy, I rested so well! I loved that the hotel has a garage that is monitored. That made me feel safe as a female solo traveler.
The hotel recycles which is a plus, offers bath robes. The room is large and remodeled. Great stay. However there is no fridge in the room, the only minus I could find.
The hotel was ok although the walls are paper thin and at the time of our stay the guests around us were noisy and easily heard.
The major issue for us with this hotel is its location. The first night we were there we were greeted with homeless people and drug users roaming around the streets of the hotel. The area smelt of urine and human faeces was evident on the pavements when walking to the tram stops to get to the Bay Area.
Although the hotel was ok for what we paid. I would not recommend it to family or friends.
