First,it is quiet in the room, it is good for sleeping. Second, it is very close to the subway. Third, the best part is that there is a great public space on the c floor. It is a huge space and it is comfortable. People may stay there and drink some coffee or tea anytime. Fourth, the facilities are almost new. Fifth, their staff, no matter the front desk or the people on c floor are polite and friendly. In addition, the breakfast there is reasonable.
There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. There is a little smell there some time.Anyway, it is not a big deal.
Location, R train station on the corner. 24 hour common area with coffee, etc nice touch. Super hot water.
Breakfast was only ok
A nice clean hotel, very low key but perfect for what you need. The property is very interactive during your stay asking if you need anything etc. breakfast was very good and the kitchen staff was so nice!
It’s was close to an even I was going too.
It wasn’t cleaned properly and the bed sheets had stains.
Too loud. Thin walls
Location
Nothing really
TRU Hilton provided a nice breakfast located on the lower level of the building. The staff was friendly and maintained the breakfast food. I appreciated that was able to "hang out" in the comfortable setting after a checked-out of the hotel and before I departed.
I requested a taxi for the next day, when I arrived for my overnight stay. I was scheduled to board a ship at Red Hook the following afternoon. The front desk staff arranged my transportation. It was not a taxi, when it arrived, but an unmarked vehicle. The driver told me he knew the destination...I looked at the "Google Map" on the dash and we were heading for the tunnel back to Manhattan. I brought it to his attention and acknowledged, "I made a mistake," as we entered the backed up traffic in the tunnel. We were able to turn back to Brooklyn and I did arrive in time to board ship. The seemed distracted during unnerving ride that could have been avoided if the hotel staff had call for the taxi that I has request.
My overnight stay was disrupted by loud conversation in the room next to me. I woke up several times during the night due to the extreme noise. "How did you get in here?" asked on the the two male voices that I heard through out of the night. I told the front desk staff of my experience in the morning. They expressed their apologies.
We enjoyed our stay in Tru!
Conveniently located for the occasion we attended. The front desk staff are friendly! The room is clean and bed is very comfortable. The downstairs lounge is definitely a plus!
Lovely downstairs lounge and breakfast area
Breakfast options limited (too much sugar, fat and dairy).
The first night we were in the "C level" (i.e., the basement). The air conditioner did not work, nor the bathroom fan, nor did the windows open. So it was hot and stuffy and hard to sleep. When we talked to the staff, we learned that the only other two available rooms in the C level also had broken air conditioners. We were moved upstairs the second night.
The bed was soft and the staff was nice
Decent continental breakfast
Room was dirty. Bathroom needs a good scrub all over
They use super cheap toilet paper.
Very cute family oriented hotel! A sweet babygirl helped check me in. Overall it was great.
The room was smaller than I expected, but it’s also in NYC so I should have figured that. Other than that it was nice

Café razoável. Limpeza ruim.
Quarto pouco aconchegante. Limpeza ruim.
