Poor cleanliness, lack of customer service, misleading listing information

The lady that checked us in was very nice.

Cons:

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn while visiting family after several months away due to my husband being ill. We were hoping for a restful stay, but unfortunately, it was anything but that.

The hotel is very worn and not clean. We initially overlooked dust and visible marks on the comforter because we had driven for hours and were exhausted. However, the next morning we discovered multiple spots of blood on the sheets, meaning the bed had not been properly cleaned before our stay. This was extremely upsetting and unacceptable.

When we brought this to the front desk’s attention, we were told they were “short staffed,” with no real effort made to resolve the situation. We requested to speak with a manager but never received a call back. Our deposit was also not refunded.

Additionally, the listing on Booking.com advertised free breakfast, which was not provided.

Pros: Location was convenient for visiting family
Cons: Poor cleanliness, lack of customer service, misleading listing information

Overall: I would not recommend staying here.
