We are a couple who stayed in one of the cottages. We had a lovely check in which included homemade cookies. The cabin its self is well decorated and most definitely the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in.
The gas fire pit on a timer was perfect.

We had some minor cons which we felt could be easily accommodated. We wish there we ceramic mugs for the coffee/tea/espresso in the room . We wished there were more options for eating on premise. Breakfast was very carb heavy (I do have to note the scones were delicious) and the most disappointing was the coffee. It was weak and watery and bothersome to drive 10 mins to get a cappuccino. A lunch options such as a soup and salad would have been perfect. We stayed with the intention of staying on property as much as possible but had to leave to eat.

Please don’t let our cons prevent you from enjoying this sweet place.

Perfect in every way. Spent 5 days there for our daughter’s wedding. The event planning was seamless and within 5 minutes of getting to the inn after the ceremony everyone was so impressed with how elegant everything looked.
No matter what we needed the staff was right there to help.
Accommodations were perfect for our group. Really everything from the delicious breakfast, cozy setting, fireplaces…. Everything is set up to make for a relaxing but luxury experience.

I loved the guest room with the pool table and self attend bar.

We were here for the first time this week, to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We came for dinner, although after being here will try to make it back to stay ASAP. Every person we interacted with was professional, friendly, and went above & beyond to make our anniversary special. Our server (who I'm so sorry, I wish I remembered who it was because they were so wonderful) made several menu recommendations, all of which were very good. In fact, everything was very good, and we agreed that while we've eaten at some special places before, this is now at the top of our list. They were very helpful in making suggestions and substitutions as I am gluten free, and neither of us could believe the bread was gluten free, it was that good.

There was a couple planning their wedding a few tables over from us, having the best time, and I can see why - this would be a fantastic place to have your wedding. The atmosphere is so charming, the food is delicious, everyone who works here seems to be dedicated to providing a great experience, and honestly no detail seems to be not thought of. 10/10, will definitely be back. Thank you!!

Deer Mountain Inn is a beautiful place, one that feels luxurious and low-key at the same time. The staff are attentive and helpful. The rooms are beautiful. The restaurant is excellent. And the location is nice, with lots of nearby hikes, an arboretum, and nice towns to visit. I'm so glad we came here and I can't wait to return.

This is the Quintessential Catskills Get Away. Beautifully done. Wonderfully authentic atmosphere, lovely gardens, best wine list in the Catskills and good dining. We heartily recommend it for anyone looking for the perfect Catskills get away. Lots of hikes and activities nearby including Kaaterskill Falls.

We had the best 4 days at Deer Mountain Inn. Our son’s wedding took place there so not only did we stay there, but had the wedding and reception there as well. The grounds are the most beautiful in Upstate NY. The accommodations were exquisite and the staff the most superior in the area. We wanted for nothing and the DMI crew were all incredibly accommodating. I have never been treated so kindly or stayed in a place so welcoming. The wedding and reception were Magical and so many memories were made. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and support for this most special event. We will be back.

This was a surprise mini-trip for my husband's birthday (and our daughters). The Deer Mountain team there is friendly and very helpful. The setting is gorgeous and the Inn is perfection - fabulous food and drink, impeccable and cozy lounge areas, comfy and completely charming room that is nicely appointed with a mini bar and treats. We loved the fabulous art collection too - what an amazing bonus. Check out the book about the painters that is at the front desk. The staff shared crampons so we could comfortably hike in the snow - their onsite trails are lovely. Make sure you head up to their lookout lean-to for incredible views. I highly recommend.

The DMI is a truly authentic upstate experience. Went for my sister's wedding and stayed in the Tuckaway cabin which was the historical and rustic while still being completely comfortable. The staff went above and beyond left and right, from helping me get my rental car unstuck from the snow, providing great local advice, and even shipping my bluetooth speaker back to me which I forgot when I left! The food was beyond excellent too. I look forward to the chance to go back.

I've had the pleasure of staying and dining at DMI on numerous occasions. From booking all the way through check out, the experience, service and people are top notch; a truly unique experience. It's personal, kind and produces the highest quality delivery. The space itself it so beautiful, including the rooms, dining and lounge areas as well as surrounding grounds. The rooms are just as beautiful and clean. The food is amazing and the waitstaff so attentive. I just hope they bring back the a la carte breakfast...Finally, DMI has very kindly welcomed my loud and hyper dog with no issue. DMI is easily at the very top of my list of places to stay and eat.

The Tuckaway Cottage at the Deer Mountain Inn did not disappoint us. The family rooms were spacious and so comfortable. We had a group of 8 adults and 2 young children . . . there was enough space to have quiet time as well as family games. The guys loved the pool table and game room. The terrain around the cottage was perfect for the little guys to ski and sled. Great memories for all. The support team from the Inn were so supportive and accommodating. We had a Ski House in Windham for many years . . . so staying at DMI did not disappoint us. We even had snow to enjoy.

We had the best time for New Year's. The food was excellent. The party very well planned. Our room was comfy and cozy. The third floor offered quiet but fun activities. The area is wonderful for hiking. Thank you Logan. Alfredo. William.Liam and everyone for a most wonderful time.

My wife and I visited for our third time recently. DMI is exceptional; staff members are detail-oriented, highly-trained and focused professionals who have all parts of your stay figured out before you arrive.
Kaitlyn handled all ins and outs of managing the entire campus, it seemed, with total professionalism. Rebecca and Bart were Manhattan or Nantucket-level servers who did not miss a beat; Bokeen and Miranda provided drinks and hot fires without breaking a sweat. All of them are kind, caring people who want you to relax and unwind.
This place is a gem; you can hike, shop for antiques or watch a football game and relax all within a five-minute drive (yes, a literal five-minute drive).
The food is outrageously good, so much so that I booked our fourth stay between our plates being cleared and the dessert coming out.
They have an unrivaled eye for seemingly everything big and small; the decor is exactly how you see it in magazines and the feel matches that of a cozy, private cabin.
They’re also adding additional, separate cabins that are sure to define luxury. Keep an eye on DMI, as it rightfully books up quickly.

Amazing place! Calming ambiance, staff friendly, food tasty, room was quiet even with a full Inn and restaurant (stayed in Twain), surrounding hikes were perfect and the hammock and Attic room were nice touches.

Shall we say pretentious??? Extremely limited menu and very expensive. One Chicken dish (Spicy), one fish dish (trout), one beef dish (Delmonico Steak).
While the wait staff was extremely attentive, our waiter did have a disappointed look on his face when we didn't order any appetizers.
We ordered the trout and the Delmonico Steak. The trout was delicious as was the steak, however, while the trout came with rice, the steak came with nothing. Nothing, not even a crust of bread. So for $$$$, it was very disappointing.

Deer Mountain Inn is a gem. Not a world away from NYC, and brings the quality of NYC restaurant service to a beautiful setting.

Rooms are beautiful and well cared for. Honor bar and "attic" with games and lounge space were very cool.

Restaurant and bar were exceptional! Bartenders are very knowledgeable and selection of beer, wine, and spirits shows an attention to detail. After dinner drinks and having them by a built fire outside (with supplies for s'mores) was an unforgettably nice experience!

Great hikes and nature walks on the property--and many others nearby.

Our dog was (and felt) very welcome.

Can't wait to go back.

DMI checked off so many boxes! Between the great accommodations, thoughtful staff, yummy meals and a scenic hike literally just out the back door, we couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Definitely recommend DMI to anyone who enjoys the opportunity to listen to birds serenading you as the sunrises!

Service at DMI was top-notch; from reservation to check out, the DMI team was exceptional, especially Logan & Caigla. The stay was magical. The hike from the inn to the spectacular views at the lean-to was like a pleasant stroll on our own private mountain! On the day of check out we even got half foot of snow, a beautiful winter wonderland in the middle of April. I was contemplating the short 1/4 mile hike from Tuckaway to inn for the complimentary breakfast, they have the most delicious bagels, when my party announced they already have breakfast prepared (the kitchen here has everything you’ll need). DMI was most gracious and quickly got the driveway & roads plowed. We are grateful for a most enjoyable stay!
