Very cute space along the river with excellent amenities. The interior is sleek and the bedding is very comfortable. The bartenders at the cocktail lounge were two cool dudes.

Loved this property. The 2 cocktail lounges on the property are top notch and bartenders were amazing. Beautiful gardens with walking path located directly behind property are not to be missed. Free parking, drink coupons, and light breakfast made stay even better. Room was adorable! Bed and steam shower were AWESOME!! Would definitely stay again. Right next to the river and park which had a band and food trucks on Thursday night. Owners did an amazing job renovating this property!!

Very nice hotel with great attention to detail. Communication from check in to check out was exceptional and the on-site bar in the lower level is top notch. If you're looking for someplace different/special, this is the place to stay!

This hotel was so beautiful, comfortable and quiet.

Boutique hotel. Lovely decor. I loved that we did not have to check in a a front desk. Just out the code in and enter the building. Great communication via text from the hotel. The lounge downstairs was great too. Super clean too!

Probably the best hotel we've ever stayed at, and we've probably stayed at a minimum of 150. Literally the most comfortable beds ever in room R4. I can confidently say that it's also the quietest place we've stayed at too. Sunday night could play as a factor in that though. The surrounding friendship garden and watching the sunset over the Mississippi was amazing. If we ever come back to this area again, we'll definitely stay here.

Marty & Tiff have created a meticulously detailed boutique hotel experience — which feels like a personal love letter to La Crosse — in this historic fishery building on the bank of the mighty Mississippi River. While I could gush endlessly about the beauty of the room, The Eugene, I will resist and mention instead the flawless linens, heavenly mattress, views and Aveda amenities.
The owners made me feel welcome minutes after reserving the room via text. Check-in was simple and autonomous but not unsupported. I texted a question and received a warm, helpful and quick response.
Parking is nearby — by a lovely La Crosse friendship garden, filled with tokens from “sister cities” from around the world — but there is a load/unload area by entrance.
I stayed on a Thursday night and there was a free public concert on the green with food trucks (the pizza truck’s calzone was amazing)! There was also a private event in The Hatchery’s lounge when I checked in but they sent me a drink menu and brought me a GLORIOUS cocktail with a smile. Crickets by 9 pm.
La Crosse’s historic area is special. I go out of my way to visit. There is another luxurious boutique hotel nearby (my #2) so, between the people, food, events and charm this is the place to be if possible.

I can’t recommend this place enough! It was absolutely beautiful. Such a unique and relaxing place. It nestled on the river and had gardens representing different countries surrounding it. It was very quiet and nostalgic yet had all the personal amenities needed. Plus the steam shower was incredible. Best anniversary ever!

Had a beyond wonderful time during our stay at the hotel. The design of everything, attention to detail, and feel of the various spaces was so well thought out. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We loved being able to walk downstairs and wander over to the bar area, where the mixologists nailed it! We even got to experience live music in the big opening off of the bar. It was truly a lovely experience, and I would love to stay here again. P.S. the steam shower was everything in the morning, such a calming way to start the day.

Wow! This hotel is absolutely beautiful. I love this non contact hotel. You enter withna code and enter your room with a code. They have everything in this stay! Coffee, bath items, snacks, water! We had a steam bath room and it was amazing. The bed was soooo comfortable. This hotel is a gem and we will be back many times! Were looking forward to our next stay! Thank you!
