Parking can be better and making guest aware of events should be required. Otherwise great place.

No warm water, bugs in the shower, most uncomfortable hard as a rock bed I've ever slept on, and there was some random buzzing noise every 10-30 seconds that wakes you up. Not worth $200.

Such a fun place to stay! They've done a great job turning this once drive-in motel into a trendy oasis. The rooms are simple, clean and cool (both temperature & style), the grounds are well-maintained with great landscaping, the pool is super chill, great bar, management is friendly and accommodating -- there's everything you could want or need within walking distance. Highly recommend.

I'm a big fan of boutique hotels and try to support them when I travel. The Ranch Motel has a hip look and great photos, but it left a lot to be desired. The rooms are tiny with zero amenities (except amazing bath products!). The bathroom had no counter space so we left our toiletries on the floor (which was painted and chipping). The water in the shower was lukewarm even with no cold water turned on. We went to the bar on Friday night and were the only guests there. The menu is super unique and the bartender was surprisingly unhelpful. On Saturday, the coffee truck which gives guests a free cup of drip coffee wasn't open at 8AM (I think they were still getting set up), so we went off property to get coffee. We wanted to use the pool on Saturday afternoon, but it's pretty small and they have huge floaties that kids were using so we skipped it and took a nap instead. Overall, I'd stay elsewhere. It missed the mark on too many things and it was overpriced for what we got.

I'm always loath to leave a less-than-good review for any property. Please take this with the following grains of salt: San Antonio is a very expensive city for hotels, if you want to be anywhere near the downtown area. And I generally like staying at "funky, refreshed, boutique-y" converted motels, like the LOGE chain. This one is competitively priced, but the competition is the very pricey downtown hotels (the free parking is a definite advantage over downtown, but the hospitality taxes in SA are universally high). And it's funky... but that's all. Not updated, rather painted over. That includes the walls and floors, even in the bathroom--which were peeling to reveal the underlying tile. The shower's pressure was virtually non-existant, and the ancient hardware made it very hard to adjust the temp. The single-pane windows were all caulked shut. It had a good split-ductless air-conditioner (which we didn't need in March), and a plug-in oscillating heater (which we did). There's a Keurig machine in the office if you want coffee.

To be clear, the location is decent--not too far from downtown, and backs to Brackenridge Park. Despite being right on Broadway, our room was remarkably quiet. The pool area/courtyard is quite nice. There's a bunch of fast food in a very short walking distance, along Broadway.

All in all, relatively inexpensive for a SA hotel, relatively centrally located, relatively comfortable. And free parking! Just don't bring someone you're trying to impress.

Super cute and hip with a heated pool!!

This property is so cute! The rooms were nice and spacious. They included noise machines that I really appreciated. The only thing that was the thin comforters. It was difficult to get warm at night. Other than that, I had a great stay!

The aesthetic was a WHOLE vibe!!! :) And very attentive and friendly staff!!! Overall great stay!!

The property is well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have already booked an additional stay later this year.

Free coffee true. Pool has super chill music. Paddleball. Pickleball, ping pong. Amazing customer service. Will definitely go again.

Very eclectic property. Interesting, but not sure I would choose again. Lacks in rom amenities. Location was good. Staff very helpful. Parking good.
