Loved everything except check in . When we arrived it kept saying check in unavailable.we has to ring a number which put you through every place but new Orleans so has to pick one. Very helpful and got it sorted. Very pleasant stay it's just two mins from French quarter so quiet .had all amenities and a overall pleasant stay
3 stars for the place being clean and as showed on the picture, however, to check in into this place was very challenging. Check in was at 4 and it took me an hour past check in time to get into my room. I was provided a dozen of different codes for the entrance door and my room door and non of them worked. Keep in mind the area immediately by the entrance door is NOT safe. Homeless people were lying right there by the door and lots of loitering. They finally sent a person who stated the batteries in the door died so he had to change them. It was at 4:53pm. If you travel as a group and must have an appointment it might be an option but i personally will not stay here again.
I booked a City View/Balcony room, but was given a room with No view and No balcony!
Free cleaning after 30 days if you stay more than 45 days sounds just as absurd reading it as it does typing it. Their terms and conditions mention a background check after they beg for ID. The luggage storage code didn't work and it took an hour of calling and texting both Hector and the other number to find out some idiot changed the luggage storage number and didn't update the check in process ??? Hector (property manager) responded later that night even though this all transpired around 2pm!
Quiet the first night, loud the second night. There was a pitbull barking in the hallway. Yelling in the hallway. People were sitting on the floor in the halls. They put me in the back with my balcony overlooking a dusty parking lot. The apartments are pretty, decently clean but DUSTY. The beds are COMFY. Medium firmness. Pillows are good but the cases kept slipping off. Free washer and dryer and I like how they offer detergent and bleach.
Very stingy with the AC at times! They control the temperature. The temperature randomly fluctuates. Sometimes it’s 67°, sometimes it's as high as 76°. I had it set to 70° at all time. Sometimes I wouldn’t hear the air at all. One night I woke up completely drenched in sweat and looked at the thermostat and it was 76°! I think that they cut off the AC at night. Literally don’t hear a thing when I wake up in the middle of the night. I just tinker with the thermostat cutting the fan on and off until a little bit of air starts to trickle.
When we got to our rooms to shower, there were no wash clothes. The kiosk for extra stuff was never filled.
Pulled back the covers to spray everything down, and our bed was filled will dirt and hair follicles! Not acceptable
Loved the balcony
loved how walkable everything was. I enjoyed that this wasn’t the typical commercial hotel with a loud busy lobby and lots of children running around. The balconies were nice and spacious but lacked good views (blame the other buildings it is next to)
Best place to stay hands down
Beautiful, everything was perfect ….
I will start this review off by saying the room was nice walking in. But once we got settled we noticed mold in the bathroom, bed rails were thin wooden sticks that broke as soon as we laid on the bed. Would NOT recommend if you are over 170lbs . Customer service was TERRIBLE. I booked for early check in which was $62 and was not able to check in early. There were gnats flying everywhere. The website shows a lobby area with a virtual host, but in reality there was no lobby at this location (Canal St). Then to top it off management did not assist or provide any accommodations once they were called, and on the last day the fire alarm went off for 2.5 hours at 5am! Upon calling to speak with management again, I was forced to explain my situation with one of the agents and after explaining everything I was then told I have to wait 24-48 hours before I could even speak with management and there was nothing they could do for me. Would NOT recommend this stay and wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Also, it rained everyday that we were there and we had to carry our luggage around because we couldn’t get access to the building, something that was asked about and confirmed before travel.
Roami at Canal Quarters was the perfect home away from home for us. The apartment was exactly as pictured, our balcony was huge and the common areas were well kept. Everything was easily accessible from the property and we felt it was much more comfortable than staying at a hotel.
We did encounter a couple of items that weren’t cleaned properly before we arrived but that didn’t dampen our experience. It appeared that the last guests left dirty pans placed in the cabinets and a couple of towels were stained. Thankfully the laundry room was right across the hall and laundry supplies were provided, therefore we easily washed the towels for peace of mind. The was also an instance where a gentleman was attempting to get into our room with a code but we believe that he was mistakenly at the wrong door.
Canal Street is very busy and vibrant, so with that comes tons of noise. The noise didn’t bother us at all because it’s New Orleans, but if you’re sensitive to sound I would highly suggest requesting a room at the back of the property. Also, given the location on the end of Canal Street I personally wouldn’t suggest this location for solo travel. Overall, I would recommend Roami at Canal Quarters and would certainly stay again.
The location and the comfort
Awesome stay!
We were very please the the Roami at Canal Corners. Room and hallways were very quiet.
Once inside, very very nice. My balcony overlooked a very nice parking lot :( the AC unit was set on remote control, i had no control of the temp, i reached out to the number provided during normal business hours and to this day never received a response. It didn't ruin my visit but it would have been nice to not be freezing in the room that overlooked the nice parking lot.
Close to everything great price and comfortable
Property was very very clean! Nice and spacious. Gorgeous balcony views! Great location. We were able to walk easily to the Saenger and to Bourbon St. I only have 1 major complaint: IT WAS SO LOUD. Yes, I realize it was Canal St. on a Saturday night. Sirens, excessive honking, people yelling and loud music kept us most of the night even with a noise machine. So if this is worrisome to you, I’d choose to stay on a side street where it would be a little quieter. Overall, we LOVED it and would stay again!
Amazing suites only complaint is that You can’t change the temp in your room I like to sleep colder at night and couldn’t change temp as it is lock and just gives u a pop up saying it can only be changed centrally for the building
It was a great week there! Great communication with Roami staff through text.
The space was great and didn’t feel cramped, especially with the large refrigerator that held our leftovers and drinks.
Would love to stay there again and also try out the other locations!
Overall, a great experience!
Not as advertised!! Asked for a two bedroom, got two separate studio apartments. On a family vacation! Bedding had stains. Towels stained. Common areas very clean. Roami did supply laundry detergent. Easy location to come and go from. Surprisingly quiet.
