We loved the everything about our stay. The location, the room, the facilities and the staff especially couldn’t do enough for us.
Nothing
The hotel is set on beautiful grounds in a peaceful location, and the hospitality was warm and welcoming throughout our stay. The restaurant serves simple, basic food, but it was delicious.
Unfortunately, the room was disappointing for what is advertised as a five-star hotel. There is no lift, so guests need to climb stairs, and our room felt more like a converted attic than a luxury hotel room. It had no proper windows, very limited space, no convenient storage for suitcases, and was much smaller than expected.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay thanks to the beautiful setting and genuinely friendly staff. While the staff were attentive and eager to help, a little more polish and refinement in some aspects of the guest experience, together with improvements to the room accommodations, would better reflect the 5 star rating.
The hotel is about a 15-minute downhill walk to the Old Town, which is very convenient. However, the return walk is uphill and quite challenging. There is a bus service, but it does not operate on Sundays, meaning a taxi is often the only option, costing around €20 for a five-minute trip back to the hotel if you are unable to manage the hill.
Beautiful location! Central but yet away from the crowd.
Our room did not have any view. Windows were covered with privacy film to prevent people seeing inside which also means we couldn’t see outside. 🫣
Shame as the room itself was beautiful!
Huge bathroom, could have fitted both a bath and a shower easily , but now only a bathtub.
Lovely place to stay in Dubrovnik - wish it had been longer. Staff were lovely, view was amazing and the grounds relaxing.
Our courtyard area was not always as private as we would have liked, when dressing we needed to close the shutters. Not everyone understood that was our courtyard and stood outside our room (not sure if they knew or were just not very smart).
Beautiful, clean and very peaceful.
Nothing
The Staff were excellent, truly. Knowledgeable, engaging and very committed to their guests.
The hotel itself is beautifully appointed and immaculate.
The pool!
The grounds
Excellent breakfast with à la carte options
The music!
Suggestions more than dislikes: maybe evening menu specials, Netflix would have been nice to have, jacuzzi hard to get in and out of for older people
Tranquility
Restaurant was a bit basic - would have thought staff could make coffee rather than operate push button machine. Staff were all super friendly
La localisation ( 10/15 min de la vielle ville )
La vue, incroyable sur la mer
Le lieux, raffiné, très bien décoré
Beautiful views of the ocean and great property. Very relaxing. Close to town. A 15 minute walk.
Everything
No i niezwykle przyjazny personel!
Dla nas wszystko było super, może dla niektórych liczba schodów może być za duża, ale to urok Dubrownika. Zresztą są też oczywiście windy.
All the staff were excellent. The Hotel is a collection of old buildings that have been extensively renovated and decorated to a very high standard. 21 rooms mean that the place is never crowded. The breakfast is just what you'd expect - with hot food cooked to order, and evening meals were similarly very good - although the menu doesn't change. The view from the garden is exceptional and the staff were very attentive in providing drinks etc. whenever we wanted them. We didn't use the pool or gym, but others seemed to enjoy them.
Just like everywhere in Dubrovnik, you can't escape stairs, but that's an age thing! I might have used the sauna, but as it's just a glass cubicle for one person with almost incomprehensible electronic controls, I didn't bother.
Breakfast spread was great! Fresh food, a lot of variety and great coffee. Exceeded my expectations.
We ate dinner at the restaurant one evening and the food wasn't great.
Las instalaciones y las habitaciones muy cómodas y amplias
Un hotel de esa categoría debería tener un trasporte diario a la ciudad vieja dado que sino hay que estar media hora subiendo escaleras.
Lindo palácio com bastante conforto e vista linda
Limitado room service e menu.
