Hotel was basic but very nice. The staff were wonderful. I would not recommend driving there Park in LaSpezia and take the train to vernazza

Small hotel with a great breakfast buffet. Helpful staff and good location close to the train station. Small room but was fine for one night.
Pensione Sorriso was a great place to stay during our trip to Cinque Terre! First, it was easy to get to from the train station, a short walk and without a terrible amount of steps (although you do have to climb steps to enter the hotel and then again to your room - no elevator! ) The room was very small, which I believe is typical in these small towns, just a bed and a night table and small wall closet. We didn't mind as we were not spending a lot of time in the room. The bathroom was small as well, but adequate. We did have a few minor problems with the room, but nothing that would stop us from staying here again. The breakfast was very good, although we did not realize until the last day that we could order eggs for breakfast and that the water in the cooler was free! We also had dinner there which was very nice - and so convenient! And the woman that was working everyday was so nice, so helpful and so friendly - which really helped make it such a pleasant stay! I would highly recommend considering a stay at Pensione Sorriso!
The staff (esp Emeline(?) Were so kind and helpful. The location was GREAT - so near the train station but not as loud as we feared it would be. And very convenient to the center of the village!
Sehr nahe am Bahnhof, so mussten wir die Koffer nicht weit tragen.
Auf dem kleine Balkon mit Ausblick auf Vernazza konnte man die Abendsonne lange geniessen.
Im Essbereich gibt es einen Kühlschrank, aus welchem man sich bedienen kann. Die Konsumation wird auf Vertrauensbasis auf einer Liste notiert und beim Check-Out beglichen.
Die Nähe zum Bahnhof bringt mit sich, dass man jeden Zug vorbeifahren hört, auch die Güterzüge in der Nacht. Wir haben trotzdem gut geschlafen.

We were on the side where you didn’t hear the trains as much.
The staff was wondering! The room ver small. Close to train station, convenient but can be loud.
The staff were so incredibly kind. The breakfast was amazing and the wine excellent. I was a solo traveler that booked a basic room and the hostess gave me a beautiful room with personal access to the terrace. I couldn’t figure out where exactly I was going after checkout and she let me stay outside on the terrace while I booked train tickets and whatnot. A wonderful experience; I will be coming back with my husband.
There was nothing I didn’t like. I legitimately have zero complaints.
