Charm character and friendly staff
Pros:

Lovely historic building that’s nicely renovated. Staff worked really hard to provide anything you needed. After travelling north for the weekend I returned for a 2nd stay as the team were so accomodating.

Cons:

A variety of room sizes so ensure you check the size you’re booking.

Pros:

the location is perfect if you are spending time in the city and great location for getting Uber to the airport.

Cons:

If you are a light sleeper, the rooms on the main street side are a little bit noisy. Would be good if those rooms came with ear plugs.

Never again!
Pros:

Great staff - kind and helpful.

Cons:

Dirty, small, can’t shower without bruising yourself as the bathrooms are so tiny. Dusty, retro look but really does need a tidy up. Failed to mention they are doing work on the lower restaurant so as I arrived the place was boarded up saying DO NOT ENTER - not the best welcome. Then 8am you are woken by hammers and Disc cutters. No alarm needed. 25 min walk from main attractions in SYD.

Pros:

Great location, bed was comfortable and we were able to leave our luggage prior to check in/out. Was perfect for one night.

Cons:

If you are a light sleeper it is on a busy road so you might struggle to fall asleep, this wasn’t an issue for us.

Comfortable bliss in the heart of Darlinghurst
Pros:

Beautiful, comfortable, and stylish rooms with a super comfy bed. The windows actually open! So good to get some fresh, spring air in a hotel room! Very accommodating staff.

Fantastic three nights
Pros:

Very comfortable and clean room. Nice quiet room for good sleeping. Staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Luke and Ryan were top-notch. Location was easy to get to and from airport, train station and tour meeting locations.

Gritty, inner-city pub vibe
Pros:

Did not stay. I spent a few minutes looking around the room and left. Did not check out the rest of the place. Bathroom looked nice though. Friendly man checked me in.

Cons:

Hotel does not match the photos or the description. I was expecting an elegant, quiet, sophisticated venue. Instead it's got a "gritty, inner-city pub", party vibe. Place was busy and loud at 2pm.
My room was over the public bar, had scuffed walls, no double glazing to the window overlooking six lanes of traffic. Window had a cracked pane of glass and no security. I did not feel safe.
