Pros:

The Dorsett was clean and very comfortable. Foyer & reception area was welcoming. Pool area clean and towels fully stocked. Children not seen as a hassle.

Cons:

Location is a bit out of the way… great for events at Marvel or Docklands but requires a tram trip for CBD. Needed to book two rooms for 2 adults & 3 children, which is fine, but rooms allocated were not interconnecting or next to each other. This is probably because rooms were booked via booking.com so would book directly with The Dorsett if 2 rooms are needed.

Had a great nights sleep and a comfortable relaxing stay.
Pros:

I was upgraded to a very spacious room . The pillows were perfect and the bed comfortable. I had the best nights sleep and could relax knowing that checkout wasn’t until 11am.
The staff were efficient and helpful.

Cons:

I like to have an outlook and/or greenery . My room looked into the Diva garden which felt cold and claustrophobic to me. The gloomy Melbourne weather that day probably didn’t help. The pool was also enclosed , so for me , it wasn’t inviting.

Pros:

Comfy pillows and nice toiletries (shampoo and conditioner) in the bathroom

Cons:

Room smelt like bathroom drain when we walked in. I asked a lady worker at breakfast how to use the pancake machine and she rolled her eyes at me. No smile nothing. Very unhelpful and unfriendly. Maybe having a bad day but I didn’t appreciate it at all.

Perfect stay for the tennis!

Will stay again
Pros:

Great location, close to station, supermarkets and eateries. Very clean. Daughter loved pinball machines!

Cons:

Glass bathroom which is not family friendly.
