The tent itself was lovely. Well designed with quality canvas and lots of windows. The bathroom modern and had lots of toiletries. ( the scented toilet spray was empty.) The kitchen was well equipped . The fire pit worked well,; remember to bring your own wood.
The location, though not remote, was picturesque with the vines and the lovely sunsets. Seppeltsfield winery is close by, a must visit.
We had a pleasant stay for two nights.
We arrived and looked for the luggage carts which we were told could be accessed through a lock box. All we found were two plastic wagons, discarded in the dirt. They had flat and shredding tyres.
The grass was being mowed by a tractor till 4pm, which was very noisy. There were grass clippings all over the deck and in the bath (along with someone’s hair.)
The heater was set on thirty when we arrived. We soon found out it just blew cold air, no heat on any setting.
The overhead cupboards had grease drips all along the bottom.
The bottom bedsheet was not fitted, twisted up and left us on the underlay. Who knows how many bodies have slept on that, doubt it’s washed each time.
There was no broom so we could not sweep all the grass and gravel off the floor.
The “fabulous “ breakfast was only bacon eggs, rolls butter and jam. No bread for toast. Very ordinary. It was almost impossible to cook the eggs on the weberQ as the jets were all blocked and very little heat came out. Had to finish them in the microwave. We cleaned the jets for the next guest.
I have pictures of the bath and greasy cupboards if needed to confirm this point.
We thought being off grid would mean the site was isolated but it was right next to the road and very close to the other tents so there was very little privacy.
Scenery and close to Barossa wineries was awesome
NA
my partner and I stayed at CANVS BY CABN in seppeltsfield for our anniversary, we found it was an amazing stay. We will definitely be back when it's a bit warmer.
overall the property was good. A good addition would maybe be some slippers as the floor gets very cold other than that it was well equipped. I'm aware you can pre-order firewood for an additional cost although for the price of the property I feel it should be included.
The tent was a cool idea and a unique stay, but impractical in bad weather. However, the CABN is significantly more luxurious and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Perfectly decorated, amazing sauna, so much attention to detail, completely silent and peaceful at night.
It was an incredibly windy night. The flapping canvas of the tent and creaking of metal would have kept us up all night. Not appropriate to stay in bad weather. However, the host was very attentive to our needs and addressed our issue promptly- which was amazing
Great location. Beautiful space.
No fire wood provided. It could be pre purchased but I missed it unfortunately. Maybe include in cost of accommodation in future.
Outdoor bath and amenities!
Need more privacy from other people when using the bath. Perhaps more trees?
And at night when walking to your car it’s pitch black. Could use some more path lights - solor ones
The location - close to Tanunda. Cabins are very private, the kitchenette has everything you need and being able to enjoy the great outdoors in luxury.
Need to communicate that you need to provide 48 hours notice if you want a wood supply for the outside fire.
Had the best time
Relaxed location with comfortable glamping!
We looked out onto vines & roaming horses in next doors paddock.
Needed an armchair to sit & read on.
Shower was good, bed very comfortable, view was lovely. Actual room was excellent.
We were given the wrong code to unlock the door which made me panic however when I emailed I was given the correct code but without an apology. Although the front seating area was undercover we couldn't sit there for long as there was no shade and it was very hot. While the outdoor bath on the verandah may appear to be romantic who's going to get their kit off when you can be seen by other people? I felt a disconnect as there is no owner or manager on site. Should be a 2pm check in not 3pm.
Simplicity off grid, peace
Mini ants in the kitchen
Constant creaking noise, barely slept. Could do with better options for lounge type seating. Could do with some clothes hanging.
The location was perfect, very relaxing
I was not happy how the sugar canister had ants in it
Couldn’t have a coffee
I would suggest to have sachets
The bed linen needs updating because it’s crispy fresh sheets and the coverlet was like it wasn’t washed regularly
Peaceful, surrounded by nature - just beautiful!!
So far so good
