Grand Hôtel de la Marine

It was almost impossible to get a meal. Your options are very limited in this village. Stunning scenery. Zero nightlife. Village shuts down at 830 and there is nothing to do. You're best off to stay in the city that is 15 minutes away.

The hotel was so nice, everyone was super nice and helpful. Great hotel restaurant and nearby shops and other restaurants. It’s a small fishing village, watching the boats come in and out of the harbor so magical!

Très bon accueil, chambre spacieuse et confortable. Seul bémol pour notre age, le 3ème étage sans ascenseur.

Das Hotel hat eine Traumlage, direkt an der Hafeneinfahrt. Zimmer und Bad sind sehr sauber. In der Nähe gibt es zwei Boulangerien und einige bars und Speiselokale , in denen überall Fisch und Meeresfrüchte angeboten werden. Der Ort ist definitiv ein Besuch wert. Einziges minus beim Hotel ist der fehlende Aufzug.

Hotel is in ideal location in the port town. Never informed that there was no elevator on the property or a bellman. Our room was on the 3rd floor(actually 4th). 45 steps to carry luggage upto room. Room was small but had nice view of the harbor. No closet or storage space. Had to cancel the last two nights for fear of a possible heart attack in the people we were traveling with.
The restaurant is the highlight. Excellent chef and one of our best meals in Normandy. Management was very accommodating to our request to leave early. Property description should describe no elevator especially important for senior travels.

Apparently they do not want to serve people on the terrace that just want a drink. Even as people staying in the hotel. After 10 minutes of being ignored I asked for the menu. After another 20 minutes we left.

What is also disturbing is the fact that the emergency exit is via the main stairs. And although they have fire doors, leaving them propped open is certain death when you're on the second or third floor.

Bonjour, réservation de dernière minute avec hôtel.com (après midi pour le soir) et arrivée surprise pour les hôteliers. Accueil surprenant.J avais réservé une chambre vue mer et j'ai eu la dernière chambre avec une vue partielle. Non précisé les festivités du vendredi l'été et voiture bloquée à 1,5 km de l hôtel.
La chambre est spatieuse, propre. Pas d'ascenseur mais pas une gêne pour moi malgré le 3ème étage. L'hôtel est très bien situé sur le port, juste à côté de tout. Bon séjour

Hele goede locatie voor hetgeen waar wij voor kwamen. Hele fijne kamer (uitzicht op zee), fijn personeel en elke dag kreeg ik voor het ontbijt alvast een kopje koffie op het terras. Ook voor een verblijf van 6 dagen was dit prima. Enige minpunt is inderdaad het parkeren. Kan niet voor de deur maar is wel op loopafstand. Wij zijn goed te been maar een lift is niet aanwezig.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet établissement.
L'hotel a été rénové récemment et est très bien placé.
A noter qu'il n'y a pas de salle de bains séparée et que pour les chambres à deux il vaut mieux bien se connaitre :)

Nice spot at the harbour.
The room was nice.
The staff did not respect the “Do not disturb” sign.
Breakfast was good, dinner could be better according to their stars.

Great location, great rooms.

The breakfast is expensive at €19 & is not that nice, limited variety and not worth the price.

Sadly some of the staff are not welcoming which put us off this hotel.

This hotel has a great location on a beautiful historic coastal town. They served a very good breakfast and all the staff were pleasant.

Hotel was fine
Room was clean and tidy BUT was at back of hotel and due to it being very warm we had to have windows open as no fans or A/C.
Staff used the outside fire escape area for their breaks which in the evening were many and sat smoking all night and talking. All the smoke came into our room and the noise went on till around 11:30 - midnight. This ruined our stay for what is a nice hotel.
They need to provide staff an area which is away from paying guests.

Mooi hotel op prachtige locatie. Geen 5 sterren omdat ontvangst ronduit onvriendelijk was. Personeel daarop aangesproken, kregen excuses maar werden de volgende ochtend bij uitchecken weer onvriendelijk te woord gestaan.

The only concern would be no elevator if you are challenged with stairs to access the room but the service was gracious and helpful with luggage!

Fint å bra förutom frukost!! Extremt dyrt för de som tillhandahålles. 340kr för en vuxen å ett barn.

A beautiful setting and incredibly helpful staff!

Our room was recently renovated so it was great. Close to anything that you would need during your stay. Right on the water. Very convenient to all of the D-Day festivities.
