Beautiful Hotel with Great Facilities, but Service Needs Improvement ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar is a beautiful and spacious hotel with really nice facilities. The rooms are comfortable, well-designed, and spacious, and the overall property feels modern and impressive. The hotel also has plenty to offer, including a family pool, fitness centre, kids club, and several dining options.
One of the highlights for us was definitely the breakfast. There was a great selection of food, including plenty of Bandung and Indonesian local dishes, which made breakfast feel much more special than the usual hotel buffet. The hotel itself also puts a strong focus on Sundanese and local Bandung flavours.
However, the one thing that felt noticeably missing for a 5-star hotel was the service attitude.
During our stay, we were asked five times about which room we were staying in while simply trying to get to the breakfast hall. I completely understand that hotels need to verify guests, but being asked repeatedly felt uncomfortable and made the experience feel less welcoming than it should have been.
For a 5-star property, I would expect the service to feel more polished, attentive, and guest-oriented. The facilities and physical property are definitely there, but the hospitality needs to catch up with the standard of the hotel itself.
Overall, a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities and a fantastic breakfast, but the service attitude was the main area that could be improved. With warmer and more seamless guest service, this hotel could be a truly outstanding stay.

Facilities are great
- misleading advice about laundry. Even though we escalated it, there was no solution. We were advised verbally that the laundry if in bulk was charged per 5 pieces. But they charged us per piece and did not reconfirm prior.
- Additionally I asked the hotel to help to warm up my toddler’s food (rice cake with meat) and we were told the hotel cannot help. I understand if it was food for me or my wige but the food was for my 3 years old toddler.

My wife an I stayed for a couple of days at this magnificent hotel. It is grand, luxurious and a joy to have stayed as a guest. The food has been excellent, Carbon serves a mean burger and probably the best duck I’ve ever had. Joempa has got everything you need if you want something else to eat with awesome flavors and with relaxing seats outside. There (really!!) is so much to choose from for breakfast that I am absolutely convinced there is plenty for everyone! Even though all staff were really friendly, we wanted to thank waiter Zack from Joempa. He definitely stoot out with experience, kindness and above that, he gave very helpful tips on the daytrips we wanted to take. Thanks Zack!
And we cannot think of Hotel Indigo without giving a special thanks to ass. Restaurant Manager Mr Akmal Naminudin. Mr. Akmal created a full itinerary specially for us making sure we would have a wonderful day discovering the Ciwidey area. On top of that he also made sure we had lunch boxes and for our very early morning checkout he made sure we had breakfast! We feel lucky and blessed meeting these wonderful persons!
