The apartment was great very roomy extremely well equipped
Pros:

The property is a fantastic position in relation to the Princess theatre with lots of restaurants on the doorstep.

Cons:

We got to the property after 4 pm & hadn’t received a message on how to enter the building. Only that we met someone coming out that we got into the building that we got in. We dialled the number from booking .com & it was dis connected.

Great short stay accommodation
Pros:

Great location - we attended a show at the Princess Theatre, visited Chinatown, restaurants and caught the tram. Everything was within just a short walk.

Cons:

We had selected a ground floor apartment to facilitate access for an elderly member of our group. Unfortunately this also meant the apartment had some road noise including a number of waste removal trucks (one at 3:41am). Bedrooms could benefit from additional curtains for reducing light overnight and bathroom needs some towel hooks. Only two dining chairs were provided for an apartment that could potentially sleep four persons.

Pros:

Location is excellent, rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff helped with our late check in. Gordon House is my home base when I come to Melbourne, it's so convenient and well priced for what you get. The apartments are all unique, and it feels much nicer and more sophisticated than most hotels.

Cons:

My husband would have like somewhere like a desk or a coffee table where it was comfortable to work.

Very cool and quirky, great location - easy to get to train station, tram, restaurants etc

Fabulous location in Chinatown. Quick walk to the theatre. Trams easily accessible.

Amazing location for the independent traveller.
Pros:

I was dubious at first after reading other reviews however. Amazing location. Minutes from theatres, excellent restaurants, bars and Parliament Station.
The room was extremely comfortable, clean, warm and aestheticly fitted out.
Having a washing machine and dryer was very convenient.
Little Gordon, the Cafe on the premises served good coffee and pastries.
Being familiar with Melbourne this is a definite favourite accommodation place for a next trip.

Cons:

I didn't receive the SMS with instructions on how to enter the building. This was confusing. Once in the Cafe staff located the 'welcome person' who was very friendly and helpful.
Over the three night visit no other staff (apart from Cafe staff) were sighted, this would be difficult if one required information or assistance or reception services.
Although there was a coffee machine there was no coffee pods. There was instant coffee and sugar but no teabags.

Staycation
Pros:

The location was fabulous and an easy walk to parliament station and Chinatown .
Loved the heritage features of the building .
Beds were very comfortable and the bedroom had good blockout curtains.
Lounge area had nice quality furnishings.
Very secure front entrance.

Cons:

There didn't appear to be a reception area, when we arrived at the front entrance there was no instructions of what to do to get into the building ( it's a locked fob only entry )
Bathrooms and kitchens were a bit tired looking and we didn't have enough mugs or cutlery .
It was very hard to work out how to use the heating in the apartment and our TV wouldn't work .
On checkout we had no idea what to do with the rooms keys as there was no staff around .
