Gordon House Apartments provide a comfortable stay in a great location.
Pros:

This apartment was in an excellent location for our stay. The purpose of our visit was to attend Princess Theatre, which was within easy walking distance. It is also located on the edge of Chinatown. There are many and varied dining options right on the doorstep. Despite having all these conveniences and busyness just outside, the apartment was very well insulated, and we were not inconvenienced with any city (or other) noise at all. There are tram stops nearby, making it easy to get around.

The apartment itself is spacious and well appointed, with a full-sized fridge, dishwasher and washing machine, making it easy to self-cater, should that be desired. There is adequate air-conditioning and the beds are comfy. The second bedroom is a little 'cosy', but we managed. We appreciated a proper wardrobe, with hanging space in the bedroom.

We did not utilise the onsite cafe but noticed it was popular during our stay.

Thank you, Gordon House Apartments, we would definitely consider booking again.

Cons:

A very minor grumble; the location of the toilet in the bathroom is a little cramped (we kept knocking the toilet roll from its holder). The soap shelf in the shower is a little close to the shower head, you need to be careful not to bump it, particularly if you put your arms up to wash your hair.

As stated, very minor inconveniences.

The location was great!

Cons:

Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. The apartment was not clean on arrival. The floor was very sticky, and when I wiped it with a white face washer, it came away black. There was also a noticeable amount of dust throughout the apartment.

We were not provided with any towels on arrival. As we arrived late at night, we had to wait until the following morning to have towels delivered. There was also no flat sheet or additional blanket provided.

The apartment was also extremely noisy in the mornings due to the bins being collected. I understand that the apartment is centrally located and that some street noise is unavoidable, but the loud sound of glass bottles being emptied into bins every morning was particularly disruptive.

Very Melbourne
Pros:

Loved the heritage of the building, everything within walking distance and surrounded by great coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Easy walk to MCG, theatres and shopping. Comfortable Queen beds with great pillows and duvet. Really nice apartment furniture. Thanks for the treats.

Perfect accommodation for walking anywhere in MELBOURNE ....only one block to Princess theatre......beautifully clean well appointed apartment....walkin shower appreciated.
