Pros:

Have stayed all over the world and this restored hotel is one of my favourites. Every fine detail has been considered and it was a true treat to find this level of luxury in regional Australia. If you are looking for opulence then Hotel Vera is for you.

It’s a must, a definate must if you are wanting a very cool stay
Pros:

Thinks a true boutique hotel. The hosts David and Martyn are among the best you will find anywhere. Great artworks throughout the property and a fantastic hatted restaurant

Cons:

The only thing I did not like about the property was leaving

Way overpriced for this stay!!

Noise and price plus there was no little extras . If you want snacks you pay. I paid $400 for the night no breakfast absolutely nothing juat bed Only The next night I stayed at RACV Ballarat paid half the price with a beautiful breakfast I wish I knew sooner about RACV

Extremely impressed
Pros:

Hotel Vera Ballarat exceeded my expectations. The building has been magnificently restored in a beautifully presented hotel. One of the best presented hotels and rooms that I have ever stayed at. Loved that all products and items in the room were sourced locally. Staff were super welcoming and helpful with suggestion of places to eat etc. Bonus was I was able to charge my EV onsite overnight.

A superbly styled hotel which oozes old world charm in a great location coupled with great hosts.
Pros:

A beautifully decorated former "surgeon's residence" a stone's throw from Ballarat CBD. Brimming with old world charm and tasteful fittings the hotel exudes style and comfort. The attached restaurant "Babae" was also exceptional for an "in-house" degustation experience. The hotel hosts - David and Martin - make you welcome from the moment you arrive until you leave. The service was flawless and other amenities including the quality hair and bathroom products were first rate. The room was quiet and reasonably spacious with a comfortable king-size bed. A wonderful stay overall.

Cons:

Hard to find fault as the hosts have done an exceptional job overall. Off street parking is available but it is a tight turning circle so best try outside although there is plenty available.
