Did not get serviced even though we left the room at 4am for the Melbourne marathon and put the please service sign on the door. Had to ring reception at 2pm upon arrival to get clean towels and new bedding

Great location for a short stay close to everything

Amazing location and the coffee shop time after time in the reception area was great

Cons:

Our first room, the strong damp smell hit us as soon as we opened the door, I went straight to reception and told them. They proceeded to say there was no smell, then it was the “cleaning chemicals” I know damp I have asthma and this would make me unwell. They send another member of staff, also no smell . Felt like they just didn’t want to deal with it from their attitudes. They said they had nowhere to move us to, then they managed to move our room which was appreciated . On the weekend no room service while we were out during the day until we returned around 3pm, both Saturday and Sunday. I was there to run the marathon so was in my room resting at this time. So got no room clean all weekend, no refresh of tea coffee etc. had to ask for towels and clean mugs. Just felt like the weekend Staff had a can’t be bothered attitude. Monday morning receptionist was very polite and helpful.
