No microwave
Location suited our purpose
No staff at reception on arrival at 9:30 pm
Staff hard to contact.
There was an odd room through an open door from our room. Looked like a janitors room with mop bucket sink and washer dryer, not included in our room. Bed fully made up. During stay the room was visited by electrician and left in a mess with and power to the odd room disconnected.
Location
Nice pool
Amazing Thai restaurant nearby
Lovely walk along Marina.
Room dirty
Chips and biscuits and empty plastic cup on floor.
Many other reviews talk about poor cleaning.
The hotel was offering a free coffee or soft drink for a positive review. I was not influenced and would rather they put the time into making genuine improvements to the cleanliness of the rooms
Second bedroom for my daughter was a converted storage room No ventilation and no windows.
The photo is proof they use storerooms as guest rooms. Very poor.
Always clean with great facilities even a bar😀
Nothing not to like
Comfortable beds. Easy access to room and underground parking. Quiet environs. Bar and restaurant on site.
Lift needs a clean
Did not stay for breakfast however it was a very quiet place and we enjoyed the outlook
Internal stairs lugging our case as seniors not good
The location was close to the event we were going to. The room had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and the small kitchen had a fridge and adequate cutlery, glasses and cups for us all. The cafe downstairs had very tasty food and the staff were very friendly and efficient.
Not being able to stay longer
The water bar
My first approach the manager she was extremely rude. She had the worst uncaring attitude, towards her customers and staff. She treated the young staff member like he was nothing. If the staff would try and help she would cut in. One comment he was trying to help me get a intouch with booking for a refund as she claimed I was not in the system but she wanted me to pay direct so refused the visit. Causing booking to charge me anyway and I had to pay the night aswell.
The tvs do not work, multiple people at the counter complaining about missing items from the rooms.
I had no tv remote she wouldn’t help, there was a hole in the wall and the place was filthy, vomit on the wall and floor behind a lounge chair
Really bad Chinese lady running it
Great spot, great friendly staff, has so much potential.
Very run down. Had to change room as it was a freshly painted store room/ laundry with a bed in there.
Location affordable
Needs some attention. Ants and flying bugs in room and no door handle on inside.
Staff are very nice once again
There wasnt anything i didnt like
Excellent and great service albeit there was no front line staff.
We actually booked our accommodation twice. Firstly on Booking.com for Monday 16 February when we originally planned to visit an ill friend. Within hours of that booked he passed away so through booking.com sent a email to change the date to 9 February. We initially got no response so booked again direct to the hotel. We paid two fees. Upon arrival reception was advised of the situation and despite a request to reimburse the initial fee it was denied. Clearly it concerned us that no reconsideration was forthcoming.
Oysters on the seafood buffett but very little else
Put in a room with two beds not a two bedroom apartment as booked. Eventually moved to an apartment in the process of being renovated which we had to wait several hours to access as it was being cleaned. Obviously repurposed, had a hallway down the middle which was original hotel hallway complete with exit steps which were accessible to children, exit lights, double doors and fire extinguisher on the wall. No bed side lamps, no handles on kitchen cupboards, wooden step not tiled into shower, no cooking facilities, walls half painted, no tea/coffee or bathroom toiletries supplied. The bathroom had a door that opened out into the hallway as it was obviously once a public bathroom. There was a strange little waiting room in the middle of the "apartment". 2nd bedroom obviously once a storeroom, no windows and a door that was unlocked and opened into a large conference room!!!! WE COULD ACCESS A CONFERENCE ROOM AND THEY COULD ACCESS OUR ROOM. There was some interesting artwork on the white board too. Another family were given the code to our room and opened our door to let themselves in as the room had been double booked. We were checked out of the original incorrect room and not checked back in so our room appeared as available. Owner extremely rude to myself and the poor people who had just travelled 6 hours with 4 kids. Waited an hour for meals in restaurant which were ordinary when they arrived. One was a kids lasagne and chips which took an hour?? Permanent residents obviously live in the complex, young boy and his dog in the public foyer the whole time. Chess pieces broken with sharp unsafe edges, pool area filthy, cigarette butts and large ball of hair in the water. Reception only manned from 2 to 8pm and the poor 15 year old boy had no idea what he was doing. When he asked for help the owner was horrible to him. STAY AWAY. We paid $700 for 2 nights of crappy sub-standard accommodation.
Great Location that is all.
Arrived to be told we had no water as a pipe had burst and they didn't know when we would have water. They knew this from early in the morning but they didn't call and tell me this so I could find somewhere else to stay. The reception lady was rather unfriendly and rude. There wasn't any plates or cutlery in the room. The last time we stayed there a few weeks ago, we were woken early in the morning to an evacuation alarm and there was no fire. We love the location but we will never go there again.
The pipe burst we only stayed less then 24hrs we are waiting for refund
Waiting for refund we could not stay no running water no flushing toilets
The only thing I liked about this Property was driving away from it to leave and the thought that I never ever have to go back there.
The man and woman who are the so called "Managers" should be ashamed with themselves! When we arrived there was no one on reception - the sign read in broken English to basically wait 10 mins for someone to come to reception. This is not good enough - we had driven for over 6 hours and just wanted to be greeted and given access to our room. We had to literally go on a man hunt to find someone that works there - when we finally found the man he flicked his hand at us as if to motion us away because "she's coming, she's coming!"
The lift was filthly, the lift and the hallways stunk like rotten prawn juice had been split all through it, our shower was full of black mould, there was 1 coffee cup in the room and the cutlery was all wet - like it had literally just been run under a tap and thrown back in the draw, the tops of the kitchenette cupboards were covered in sticky tape and that was then covered in mould, there was hair and urine splattered all around the floor of the toilet, the bathroom mirror had toothpaste or something spat and smeared on it, the shower was absolutely disgustinly flithy, the air conditioner was full of visable mould - we are both now coughing and sick after spending one night in this sess-pit of a hell hole. Someone had spat at the mirror in the bedroom and it had run down the wall.
All of the common areas were filthy and there was rubbish in the reception area like someone had sat and eaten a takeaway meal and it was still all over the table, there is a truck in the carpark - right next to the lift entrance that is the "Bin Truck" and it was overflowing with rubbish - this is highly illegal and needs to be contained.
The hole hotel is a complete health hazard and I will be reporting this to the Local Council and the Health Department in the area local to it. I am also requesting a full refund. Yes - I did bring this up with the female "manager" when we were leaving.
