Bli Bli Suites

Staff could not find my booking. The young girl apologised and said she would get the manager. The same girl returned after 10 minutes and said she was sorry but she was still getting the hang of the "Suites" part of her job. Before speaking to the manager, she asked for my name, I showed her proof of receipt AND she then asked me if my name was "Jane Smith" (changed for privacy reasons). The name she asked was nothing like mine in any way.

This was alarming to me, as I understand that customer confidentiality is most important, especially due to DV issues. For future reference, do not give out the names of your patrons to strangers in a heavily occupied location, without their consent.

The key and fob set up was painful. Not to mention the cavalcade or lifts in the two buildings next to each other. Why in God's name, do you know have a better system? Or perhaps some better communication and signage for patrons. Every single person I spoke to was just as confused as me. The staff AND the hotel visitors. The guy at the cafe, a woman in one of the gyms, a staff member of the bottle shop and a local patron could not effectively advise me of where the best lift was from the parking to the suites. It was a shitshow.

When I did get to my room. The backdoor was unlocked, so I tried to deadlock it with the key, however .. this was not provided to me. The blinds were broken and did not even meet the description of "block out curtains".

The lights in the room, such as the smoke alarm and such, flashed constantly above the bed and kept me awake. I had also requested a double bed and got two singles pushed together. There were dirty sheets on the bed, a filthy mirror, snotty tissue next to the bed and it smelt like cigarettes. The sanitary bin didn't even have a lid on it.

There was dirty water in the kettle, lipstick stained mugs and even a plate that had been used and not cleaned...just put under the pile.

The booking in desk at the restaurant reception and the Instructions to access it were unusual. It worked but a interesting 😀

Shower water pressure

There was no TV remote which was resolved quite quickly.

It was big cockroach in my room when I checked in and open my room..

For a hotel it lacks suitable signage! If one parks in the building (level 2 in our case) the lift gives NO indication of where reception is! Finding some one who knows was difficult. Level 3 had no one, Level 4 was the restaurant and only after waiting at the seating desk were we informed that that in fact is reception (NO SIGNAGE WHATSOEVER)!
When we get our room key, the lift to level 5 was unresponsive till one eventually finds where to register it electronically!
We were told to return the key upon leaving, but not where!! We left at 7.20am the following morning, but level 4 was locked, and only after a wait to attract cleaning/prep staff were we advised of the drop box in the car park.

Our aircon was broken half my holiday . In Dec to Jan the hottest season of the year, it was horrible to sleep in and just stay in and we had to sleep with the balcony door open let bugs in , and the loud noise from the main road then the noise and smell of the broken AC and the constant LED light from the Bli Bli sign outside the balcony window I was in room 5 . I called the number for the place constantly and messaged everyday , the AC guy came everyday and never fixed it . It wasn’t fixed for nearly 4 days , we stayed for 7 days now . Kinda ruined our holiday . But on the positive , the food was soooo good the staff at the hotel at the restaurant. Location and facilities were great .

Read the all inclusive review above but I will add, finding the car park & check in desk will be fun for first timers.

Only some small details ... we ran out of toilet paper and there was no spare. It wasn't clear who to contact to ask for more or between what times. We also couldn't work out how to connect the room TV to the wifi. A welcome pack with some operational information would have been helpful.

The elevation to the suites was out of order which was disappointing as we had booked an accessibility suite. Walking up and down the steps to the loading dock was not very pleasant. No tissues, no shelving for toiletries. The only mirror was above the bathroom sink. The shower curtain looked stained or soiled.
